Lance didn’t know how he was going to handle another two days with these people. Now that he had his trip home all figured out, he just couldn’t wait to be in his house, sleeping in his bed, going to lunch with his mom. He loved being on the road, but there was just something about getting to go home and spend time in the house he barely ever saw. JC was brilliant. Lance still couldn’t believe that JC had set this up all on his own. He had been so surprised that as soon as Jayce had left him, he’d called Johnny to make sure. It was true. JC was a genius.

They were on the road, and usually Lance didn’t mind sharing his living space with Joey; Joey was pretty much respectful of Lance stuff, and his need for order. He kept the noise down, and always brought the best DVD’s on the road with him, so they always watched movies together. Joey was Lance’s best friend in the group [hell, probably in the world]; Joey had been in Lance’s movie, he’d asked Lance to be his daughter’s godfather. Lance liked spending time with Joey because they understood each other.

But right now, Lance was about to kill Joey. He wasn’t even really doing anything; just sitting on the sofa with his headphones on. But he was bobbing his head, and his eyes were closed, so he couldn’t see or hear Lance slamming papers around. He could see Joey moving out of the corner of his eye and it was very distracting. He was trying to finalize some documents for a new movie, but Joey just kept moving.

Finally, Lance closed his laptop and got up. Standing in front of Joey, he just looked at him before tapping him to get his attention. Joey took of his headphones, clearly confused, and Lance could hear the music. It was loud.

“’Sup man?” Joey asked innocently.

“You. Are. Driving. Me. NUTS.” Lance spoke slowly and softly. Joey could tell he was really angry.

“What’d I do?”

“Just. Stop moving.”

“Huh?”

“Never mind. I’m going to lay down.” Lance stalked away to his bunk and heard Joey calling him. Finally Joey must have put the headphones back on because Lance couldn’t hear the tinny beat anymore. He could NOT wait for his vacation.
