you'll find shops aplenty, many varied restaurants and
nightlife.

courses plus 2 9-hole courses - a perfect way to spend the

The area is well known as a Geothermal
area with its hot bubbling mud, geysers, boiling water, mud
volcanoes, hot springs to name but a few. There are several hot
mineral pools which are very therapeutic to get rid of those aches
and pains, finish off with a massage to make you feel a million
dollars!
For the Winter Sportsperson, Mt. Ruapehu
is an hour and a quarters drive away with 2 different ski-fields
with Chairlifts, T-bars, Ropetows aplenty, with 30 groomed trails,
restaurants and all the facilities. Ideal for the beginner through
to the Expert skiier or snowboarder. Depending on the season late
June- late October. Wonderful walks wind around the Mountain,
various lengths from 2 hours to 4 days.
