| Starved Rock State Park is awesome! It is the best state park in the Joliet vicinity. It has hiking trails, camping, boating, and lots of wildlife. Its also less than an hour away from Joliet. It is all a scout could ask for and more. Submitted by: Ralph Kramden / Den 8 |

| I enjoy skipping stones, picknicking and fishing at the Van Horn woods on frontage road. You can also hike in the woods, they have a nice paved path (they are flooded on occasion). Submitted by: B.J. McKay and his best friend Bear / Den 8 |
