The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994): A feel-good film about two queens and a transsexual road-tripping across the Australian Outback to an obscure resort town are unfortunately marred by racist representations of Aborigines and a stunningly misogynistic barroom encounter with a butch woman Bombay Eunuch (2000): Documentary takes a look at India's famed hijra community as the members of the third sex contend with AIDS, poverty, prostitution and an intolerant police force Boys don't cry (1999): An important and brave film that is a poignant memorial to Brandon Teena, a young person born female who chose to live as a man. The Brandon Teena story (1998): A chilling documentary about the tragic life and death of Brandon Teena- the 20 year-old transgendered Nebraskan who was raped and murdered in the winter of 1993. Ma vie en Rose (1997): A little boy must surpass obstacles to make his dream come true: becoming a little girl so he can marry his best friend.
