LIONHEADS
So you're asking why I said "point and laugh" on the front page.  Well, my reason behind it is that was my reaction when I saw this hilarious-looking breed for the first time!  No joke!  (just ask Jes Bielejewski for proof).  I recently added 2 of these crazy things to my rabbitry.  I won't be seriously raising and showing them, but I wanted to experiment and learn about them.  I also plan on adding a double mane at some point in the future.
LJ2 - Hop 'N Go Hares Atreyu
Atreyu is a very pretty single-maned black buck.  I got him at the Ohio Conv. in 5/04 at the Lionhead Club's auction.  He has a very very smooth body, a wonderful coat, a great personality, and plus he's just plain adorable.  I look forward to having mini Atreyus.  His name originally comes from the movie "The Neverending Story", and I'd been wanting to name something that for a long time.
- J.K. Hermione
Hermione is a single-maned broken chestnut doe.  I also got her at the Ohio Conv. in the Lionhead Club auction.  She's not the most attractive Lionhead I've seen, and has kept basically none of her mane since she turned senior, but I think she will make nice babies with Atreyu.  She is also friendly.  Since her breeder was J.K., it reminded me of J.K. Rowling, the author of the
Harry Potter books, which is why she is named Hermione.... kinda.  I don't actually like Harry Potter, but I just think it's such a pretty name.  For the reference, it means Earth.
