Sunday 7th March, 2004. I've had a request for a bigger font on this page so here it is, as desired by the masses. Should there be any other requests, please send them my way and I'll be happy to make changes as required. Apologies for lack of posts but have been extremely busy. Spent some time catching up with old friends - Gai and Brad via email, which was wonderful especially after so long, and if you're reading, "Hello Guys!". It was also fantastic to see Tanya again when she visited Sydney for a couple of days. I hadn't seen her in 14 years and we spent a great evening chatting non-stop - can't wait until she moves to Sydney and we can do it more often! Then there was Kat and Jason's wedding, with the Hen's night on the Wednesday and the wedding on the Friday. Kat looked stunning, and the wedding was beautiful. Daz and I had a great time and made some new friends too. I have posted some photos into a new album in the photos section. Last week I was caught up working, as I'm still working fulltime with the temp agency. I was also busy shopping for birthday and engagement presents and a new lounge suite. We have started nesting, and had the carpets professionally cleaned last week, and will be spending next weekend painting the house. The new lounge should arrive in a few weeks, so we're starting to get organised, which I find quite exciting. I've just arrived back from my parents place in the Southern Highlands, and was able to take some shots while I was there, so I've updated the albums with these as well, for those who are interested. Kirstie and I spent the weekend there to celebrate Dad's birthday yesterday. Thanks Krusty for doing all the driving!! Thanks Mum for the delicious lamb roast!! And Dad, Thanks for your eggs!! As for baby - well I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow and have a check up with my GP on Thursday. Everything seems to be going well, I'm growing bigger by the day, clothes I bought just over a month ago are starting to get tight already, and she is still wriggling about constantly. We have started talking names and though nothing is decided just yet, Darren & I have both agreed that we like Jordan. We have our first birthing class next Saturday so I'm hoping its not going to be as boring as Chippo and Holbrook said. Well I need to get cracking on these photo albums - so apologies to Jadda for ditching her on the weekend, I hope you got my email. I will try to make it over sometime this week - I feel like I haven't seen you in forever.

Thursday 18th March, 2004. Well, I've muddled up my dates and not sure I was right when I said I was 25 weeks, all I know is I'm getting big now! How exciting. Just worked it out, and I'll be 26 weeks on Monday. I think Jordan has been going through a growing spurt the last couple of days because I have been quite tender in the baby region. Crazy. Kirstie and Phil's engagement party is on this weekend, which is also very exciting. I get to do official stuff, like help the bride-to-be to set up the party during the day, and take the presents home at the end of the night. I am really looking forward to it, especially catching up with a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time. It will be great to see everyone together. I just hope I don't eat the lady or her bowls with my massive appetite! Mum and Dad came over last weekend and Dad painted most of the house and put up a new light fitting. It looks fantastic and now all we have to do is the nursery and a couple of bedrooms. So: - I can't tell you how great it is to come home to a beautiful fresh house! The new paint and having the carpets cleaned has made a wonderful difference - can't wait until the new lounge arrives. The birthing class was ok. Nothing too boring or freakish. There seem to be some nice couples there and it was nice to hear other women have the same complaints I do! Sore back, leg cramps, tired from working, etc.....I won't go on, and I think Daz was pleased to hear some of the men had the same gripes as he does - long hours at work, stress of being provider, naggy moody partner, etc.....The expected delivery dates for the couples varied, from us at almost 25 weeks (at the time) to a couple at 31 weeks. Most were in the 25 or 27 week, and there were about 10 other couples. We learnt about how a pregnant woman's body changes, stages of labour, natural pain relief methods and exercise. (One in three women can't hold their wizz - have you done your exercises today??). My only other news is that my current temp assignment has been extended until Easter, which is excellent. Sorry fans and air-conditioners but there will be no more updates until next week but promise to deliver some great party shots for the albums, and will update baby page with one of my expanding gut.

Tuesday 23rd March, 2004. Promised pictures of engagement party are not forthcoming my friends, as I was too lazy to get out my camera on the night. Its a damn shame as there were some fine moments that required capturing. I particularly enjoyed the line of dancers for "New York, New York". The party was excellent, it was good to see everyone enjoying themselves, and like I mentioned last week it was good to catch up with people. I did get a little tired, so Daz and I left once the upstairs closed but the party continued for hours after we left. Krusty and Phil came home the following day to unwrap their safely delivered presents. Mum, Dad, Daz and I stayed to watch them unwrap, and were glad we did as it was rewarding in the entertainment stakes. Apparently, in the weeks leading up to the party, when guests asked Phil what to buy as a gift, he mentioned in an offhand manner to "just get a platter or a bowl, or call Kirstie." Not realising that he had spoken to so many people, or that they would all listen to him, he became quite concerned as each present was opened and appeared to be a platter or a bowl. I think there were only 6 or 7 presents that weren't platters or bowls. Hilarious! We were all in hysterics, but poor Phil looked a little embarrassed. Looks like they have some entertaining to do. If anyone needs a bowl or platter though, you know who to borrow it off. Had a crazy day yesterday and was all over the place like a mad woman's washing, lost it at poor old Daz in a large way. We are waging a losing battle with the dog and his Houdini acts and being the tired grumpy little cow I am I did my narna. Sorry Daz, I love you baby, but it will probably happen again. Other exciting events on the weekend included Daz doing a tip run, bless his heart our house is magnificent, and the purchase of wooden items. We bought a "coffin table" (thanks for that Dad) and a matching lamp table, and most exciting of all, we bought a change table. Our first major purchase for Jordan! It is a wooden change table, with 4 sturdy drawers underneath, so it can really be used as a chest of drawers in any bedroom. It is already full of the clothes Mum has bought (thank you so much Mum for your generosity). I am SO excited!! Now I just want to go crazy and buy all the other stuff, but it is not yet time. Speaking of time, I believe I'm missing Survivor......gotta go, even though Hatch is no longer in it, having been BAMBOOZLED several weeks ago.
