sirens hold our city audio hostage
collectively seduced by security mirages
a reflection in a storefront window
fades to black
& then,
juxtaposed against my backdrop
one of my favourite escapes
pretends to mount,
stage right
i am channelling great realization
sure of something in migration
forget the spliff mentality
jealous of infrugality
