Noise, noise,
there's too much noise
coming from all the boys
playing with their toys;
from cars that eat
dinosaur meat
to weapons of mass destruction
that serve no higher function,
than to maim and kill
our friends at will.
With everything we make
we seem to take and take.
It isn't fair
to poison the air,
it has become harder
to find fresh water,
even the earth
that gave us birth
is torn asunder
so we can plunder.
In the name of wealth
we ruin our health!
Why, oh why
do I even try?
Devastation
and toxic radiation,
they already abound,
just take a look around.
There is an excess of waste
burried all over the place.
What must I do
to convince you?
Even prophets have seen
this grisly scene.
From the shifting of our poles
to ozone layer holes,
oil tanker mishaps
and melting polar ice caps.
Nuclear disasters like Chernobyl
may soon become global,
yet we do not believe,
is it so hard to perceive?
It's time we pay attention
to our planets descention
For this reality is horrible,
and society's uncontrollable,
this hunger won't be fed
untill we're all dead!
Our policies and laws
are filled with flaws.
We're drowning in our own pollution
we need an environmental revolution!
