Over The Rainbow Balloons is owned and operated by Mike Peirson and is based in Pineville, Louisiana. Although a relatively new company, Over The Rainbow Balloons is quickly making a name for itself in the Central Louisiana community. As the only company in the area to offer specialty balloon designs, people are amazed when they see the gifts that can be made from balloons. People of all ages have had Over The Rainbow Balloons arrangements sent to them at home, in the hospital, at school, and at work and the result is always a smile and disbelief.
The whole idea behind Over The Rainbow Balloons is to provide the Alexandria/Pineville Louisiana area with something different at gift-giving time. People have seen gift baskets, flower arrangements, and helium balloons before, but Over The Rainbow Balloons provides a unique and memorable alternative. From 2-year-old children to 96-year-old women, Over The Rainbow Balloons delivers smiles and surprises.
Over The Rainbow Balloons is a Christian-owned company whose owners attend the First Church of God-Pineville. The congregation is voluntarily affiliated with the Church of God with general offices in Anderson, Indiana. The Church of God is a movement within the larger body of Christians which seeks to develop a spirit of evangelism, holiness, and unity among all who follow Jesus Christ.
The name, Over The Rainbow Balloons, was partially inspired by Genesis 9:16--"Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth." This passage is God speaking to Noah after the flood. The rainbow is always a beautiful sight after a good rain. Most people don't feel bad when they see a rainbow--it's usually associated with good. Balloons are very colorful and also are usually associated with good. Just as the rainbow makes people feel good after the rain, our balloons make people feel good when they receive our arrangements.
God gets all the credit for getting this business started and any past, present and future success it may have. Thank you, Lord!
