This is Michiru's point of view on immortality and her life as a soldier.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Immortality is not a blessing. It is a curse. I have been alive for

at least a thousand years. I don't count anymore and I stopped caring along

time ago. Now in Crystal Tokyo, I think about my incredibly long life. Oh

sure, it was wonderful, for the first one hundred fifty years. My hobbies begun to

bore me and I stopped. It was monotonous. From then on, there was trouble.

The people I grew up with, my old friends, my friend's parents, my friend's

children and grandchildren, they all passed away and their memories haunt

me, and will always haunt me forever. It is impossible to forget, even

though I try. Before the destruction of old Tokyo, I moved around, in fear

of discovery. Not even Sailor Neptune can defend herself against all the

authorities.

My fellow soldiers, friends and lover have remained. The inners,

Setsuna and Hotaru, Haruka. when Neo Queen Serenity created Crystal Tokyo,

naturally, we were her protectors. I must fight for her and protect her for

as long as I live. When I was mortal, I sometimes looked forward to death.

An escape from the fighting, but that is no longer an option for me.

Yes, I have Haruka, and she eased my pain, but only so much. She too

has grown tired of her life and had quit racing a long time ago. I think

everyone has. Makoto and her cooking, Ami and medicine, Rei and the

spiritual world, and of course Setsuna, she is the oldest of us all. She is

the sole survivor of the Silver Millenium. We rarely see her anymore.

Before all this, I lived on the old kingdom of the moon. I was isolated

from everyone to protect the Solar System from intruders. I was a warrior

then too. I suppose I will always be one.
