At long last the winter weather gave way to something a bit warmer and more conducive to open-cockpit flying! So this evening I took ZZZ up and flew five circuits to get my currency back.
The first take-off was on Carp's runway 10 with a slight crosswind - no problem. The landing wasn't so good however. I have learned that crosswind landings on asphalt are not a good idea with two axis control! So I switched to the grass parallel to Runway 04 and that worked much better!
0.9 hours flown and only 4 litres of gas (from the newly calibrated tanks) burned! I need to do a cross-country flight to get a real fuel burn number for the plane. Otherwise it ran well with temps right where they should be.
