My Rainbow Family gathers in national forests around the country to celebrate life together. We work together to provide food, shelter, and love for all who attend. We have a "Main Circle" each day in which we love each other, discuss issues, chant the sacred sound "OM", and eat Vegan food prepared by the different kitchens. |

Rainbow Gatherings are a time when we come together to share our love and energy with each other. The focus of activity is the "Main Circle" held each night during the gathering. At main circle we discuss matters of interest to family members, focus our love and energy, and eat Vegan meals prepared by the various kitchens.
All kitchens at Gatherings are free, as family members contribute energy of various kinds to feed and sustain each other. Many nights I sat up late around a bliss fire or kitchen fireplace with family members, enjoying the energy we were creating synergistically.
Here are a few pictures I took, though I mostly enjoyed being there too much to remember to get out my camera during the Gathering. |

The Gatherings are a place of peace and safety. The first time I took my children to a Gathering, though they were quite young, I felt very safe, knowing that no one would allow any harm to come to them. Upon leaving, I did not feel as safe when county sheriff officers stopped us in a roadblock, demanding to know why I had taken children into such a dangerous place. |
