As I started work on this page, I still wasn't sure what to say on it. How can I put into words what I think and feel about this band? Then, as I started working on the page, I ran into my REO Speedwagon webpage, written back in 1998. And I realized that what I wrote then about REO I can also say now about the Elders. But maybe even moreso.

Why do I like the Elders so much?

Great music: Okay, I can't give them the over 25 years thing like with REO Speedwagon. They're working on it. :) The Elders do have 4 great albums. They are all highly talented musicians. And most of their songs are originals, and great songs they are! This band oozes talent.

Great live show: Or, beyond great. See above for their talent. And they are just plain fun. And whether I'm standing there watching them play, or dancing, I'm always having a good time. And I leave with a satisfied feeling. We in Kansas City are privileged to get too see them live so often. And maybe spoiled. But we do appreciate what we have. And we are glad that others get to experience this awesome band too. (Okay, so, I'm assuming it's not just me that feels that way. :))

They Care About Their Fans: They appreciate their fans and seem to like interacting with them. And we fans appreciate that. This fan does, anyway.

And, one more added just for the Elders. :)

They are good people: Not that the members of other bands I like are bad people. But mostly they are people I don't know. From observing and interacting with the members of the Elders, I've really gotten to like and appreciate them as people. They are good men. :)
