Good News Weekend

Good News Week ran from 13th of June 1998 till the 15th of August 1998. It is not possible to be sure whether Good News Week will be coming back on.
Good News Week was originally put on for a 10 week period while Roy and HG went to the UK. However Roy and HG have come back but they have not taken back their timeslot.

Based on the success of Good News Week, the ABC decided to let the cast of Good News Week (alias Paul McDermott, Mikey Robins and Julie McCrossin) use there talents in a new show while Roy and HG (The Channel Nine show) are in Norwich.

Good News Weekend is in simple a Good News Week with different rounds and little interludes from other people such as the Sandman, Flacco, Keith the ******** bear and the Galdflys.

Good News Weekend looks at the Media, unlike Good News Week because Good News Weekend focuses on the actual media not the news on it.

Good News Weekend has many rounds including:

This is the Modern World- Teams view metaphorical clues to an event that has happened recently.
Broken English-Paul gives a line from a movie and the team has to give name of the Movie and the character or actor who said it.
Excuse me while I kiss this guy-Before the show each team is given a song with uncompretendable words and they have to make up there own version of the song.
Come on Feel the Words-Two members of the team have to try and get the other team member to guess the song and artist/group by making the tune but they are not allowed to sing the words.
Idiot Box-The Gladflys play the tune themes to three TV shows and the teams must work out which TV show it is.
Take a Long Line-Paul read out the first line of a pop song and the team has to say the next line.

The theme to Good News Weekend is very short�only three lines. The lyrics are thought to go like this.

      It�s Saturday night
      It�s Good News Weekend
      It�s Saturday night

Note: The tune to Good News weekend is a lot more sober than the tune to Good News Week.
