Of course, it was too hard to resist. On our way to the magazines, Ryan "accidentally" takes the wrong exit. He says he doesn't know where we are for a few minutes, until he realizes he's stumbled on a train yard, Mulford Yard. His accidental exit has great rewards as we find an unguarded yard, with an uncoupled engine (even if it is a UP!). I've learned that with railfans, there are never any "accidental exits" off the freeway-- chances are, you're headed to a train yard they've been itching to visit. (Image #10.)
