| why toguro pt.2 | ||||||
| why? why toguro? you may ask why and i cant really give you an answer to that...there are just certain things about a character that we admire them for. i think its because they are one of the most ignore, neglected and unloved yu yu hakusho character. yes i said they, they meaning both of the brothers...i do believe that older toguro was once an honorable fighter and that he wasnt always ruthless...i think that by becoming a youkai he changed...you then may ask, "well, how come ototo didnt change his persona also?" because as my health teacher says, different things affect people differently...just like selling ther souls affected the brothers differently. i cant say for sure about this because we dont see much of ani's past but this is just a guess...and it could be right. now i can understand why most people think (ani) is creepy...but you must look beyond skin deep...isnt it true that a youkais nature is to kill? if im correct then yes it is so by being a youkai it was in ani's nature to kill those birds in front of yukina. i believe that if ani was "human" as we shall say then he wouldnt of done that...its not like most humans to be cruel to animals or any other being unless you're turukane..but then again our society isnt what it use to be so some people are cruel by nature... if you compare hiei to toguro you will find some similarities...*gasp* oh no im comparing toguro brothers to hiei...get over it hiei isnt better then them and they arent better then he...anywho, both of them (hiei and the toguro brothers) had rough pasts...and both of them made mistakes, and now they have to live with them...see not much different, yet we love hiei more than we do toguro...i never did get this...when we first see hiei he was the bad guy but we instantly swooned over him...yet when we see the toguro brothers we instantly think..."oh its just another bad guy out to get the good guys." why? why is that? maybe because its been awhile since we've started the show so we're more accustomed to the good guys and the bad guys...maybe not...so when we see them we only look at their faces and not skin deep...plus the fact that we dont see their pasts until the tournament...well im done here..for now...if you have anything to add or would like to comment please remember that when emailing me tell me if you want me to post it and if you do can i put your name down. if you wish not to have your name appear it will be signed anonymous in here...thanks ~rai/naomi |

| my views on ani? personally i like him...i dunno about you guys, but i do. everyone sees him as crazy, evil, psychotic, sadistic, power hungry, cruel, inhuman, ruthless, and psychopath. he's neither of those things. people seem to overlook the fact that even though yes, he is a youkai, he does have feelings and motives. they are only looking skin deep. sure he may seem a bit off and detached but you have to remember what all he went through. when he was facing kuwabara he told him that his brother always left him to go train with genkai...and since ototo was always off with her ototo eventually forgot about him (ani) and then ototo had genkai, but who did ani have? no one. then he mentions that his brother was always lucky because gnekai loved him (ototo), but ani loved her and that if he got the chance he would've loved to hold her in his arms. toguro never did...then there's the whole fact that ototo lost all his pupils and became angsty which probably made him forget about his brother even more. now thats being left out in the cold. i could tell that those two did not have a very strong bond from the way they acted towards each other, moreso ototo then ani. ani tried to be considerate to his brother but ototo just pushed him aside....maybe they had a strong bond once before, but now it is lost...people tend to look at his actions and words rather than his motives and feelings. he was always in the shadow of his younger brother...he might've felt cold and left out...and thats why we see him as the cold and ruthless youkai now...because he was taught hatred at a mind-bending age... | ||||||
