Two children played in the palace courtyard. The tallest of them, a boy with sparkling red eyes and wheat blond hair, pounced on his elven featured companion and the rolled over and over each other, giggles filling the air.

"Sheik?" The second child asked after they stopped rolling. Heads resting on each other's shoulders
as they stared at the sky.

 "Hm?"

 "We're best friends right?"

The blond boy smiled and nodded happily, "Better than best."

 "Will we be together always?"

 "I hope so link."

The smaller boy curled closer to his friend, drawing in his warmth and comfort, "So do I."

"Sheik?" Impa called from the palace.

"I'm here mom." He called and made no effort to move from the other boy's hug.

"Oh Sheik. Playing with prince Link again?!"

Link looked up at the tall lady standing over him, "He's my protector."

 "Oh is he?"

"Yep, jus' like you an' Zelda."

 "Not just like us though."

Link smiled, he liked his sister's guardian Sheika, not only was she smart and kind, but she brought
Sheik with her, and Link loved his playmate more than anything in the world.

Just then Zelda emmerged from the palace and her eyes flashed at her brother. "You can't play with
Sheik. I want you to play with me!"

"But Zelda," Link hugged his guardian tight, "He's my bestest friend!"

Strong hands pulled Link away and he squirmed and struggled as Zelda screamed at his captor.
Sheik dove for the villain but was tossed aside. A audible crack told the conscerned captive that
something had been broken.

"Sheik!" Link cried as he was dragged further and further away.

Sheik lay on the ground, unable to do anything but call back to him. "Link! Link!"

His struggles increased and Link kicked and flailed young arms at his captor but it wasn't enough.
"Get away! Let go of me! Sheik!"

The last thing that Link remembered before his vision went black was his best friend staring after
them, "Link! Don't take him away! Link!!!"

The boy shot awake, covered in sweat and breathing raggedly, "Sheik." He groaned and kicked his
feet over the side of his tree house bed, yawning and then settling back with a sad frown. "That's the
umptienth time I've had that dream. Shit!"

"LINK!" His fairy yelled went the pillow he had thrown almost hit her.

 "I'm sorry."

"Sure you are." She huffed and straitened her hair, "Well?"

 "What?"

"You had the dream again didn't you."

 "Oh come on!"

 "You did! You did!"

 "It's stupid."

"You've been having the same dream since the Doku tree first assigned me as your guardian.
Haven't you figured it out yet?!"

 "Go away ok?"

She sat on the window sill and pouted, "Why don't you go find him?"

"Because Sheik isn't real!" He yanked the brush through his sleep tangled hair and almost sobbed.
"It was only Zelda in disguise."

The fairy pretended to be deep in thought, "Have you ever noticed what color Zelda's eyes are?"

 "Pink of course. Light pink."

 "And her hair?"

 "Blond."

 "What shade?"

 "Kind of, sunflower blond."

 "But then Sheik's eyes. . ."

"Red, like the deep red of blood with a touch of sunset and fire."

 "And his hair. . ."

"Is light gold, like wheat when it's ready for harvest, and silken soft but. . . wait a minute!" He shot
to his feet and gapped at the little light that was his fairy, "You mean. . ."

"Zelda just took over once she realized how deep his feelings for her brother went."

 "Then Sheik is real!"

 "Uhuh."

 "Why didn't you tell me?!?!"

"What? And interrupt your angst-fest?" She grinned, but it was wasted. Link wasn't looking at her
anymore, he was calling for Eponia and leaping astride the magnificent horse from the tree house
door. "Link!"

"I've got to find him sprite!"

 "Well I'm coming too!"

 "Fine. Go girl!"

The horse and Link moved as if they were one being. Both knew what the other thought. Soon they
were to the village of Impa's people. Impa's home was empty. "Shiek!" Link called out. No answer.

"Damn it!"

Sprite tugged on the ocerana of time, "Try somewhere else."

Link was about to play but he froze, the instrument inches from his mouth, "I think I know where he
is!"

"Well then g. . ." Link was gone before the fairy could finish and Sprite frowned, "Now I'll miss all
the fun!"

Sheik sat on the alter to the goddess of wisdom. In the clearing before the forest temple that Saria had once shown to Link. His fingers danced over his harp sadly, playing out the love song he had composed for Link. Precious, curious, wonderful warrior of time. His best friend and forbidden crush.

A tear fell to his flowing robes and he scrubbed it away viciously, "Damn me." he cursed softly. It
still hurt! Why did it still hurt?! After she had seen what Link truely meant to him, Zelda had sent
Sheik away, taken his place and taken the credit for all of the time he had been there for his love. All he could do was watch from a distance as Link decided to reclaim his childhood after Ganon's
defeat. Link had left him. Sure by now he was probably back to the age he was during the final
battle, but he probably didn't even remember Sheik. Only Zelda. "I'm such a fool!"

"I could have told you that."

The Sheikah boy jumped to his feet and spun to face the intruder to his sancuary only to find himself drowning in eyes he had never thought to see again. "Link." It slipped from his mouth, a spoken
caress. It was only a year passed since Link had been sent back, but for Link so much more. "Are
you real?"

The elven boy caressed the Sheikah's cheek softly and closed his eyes, resting their foreheads
together lovingly, "I thought you were a lie."

 "What?"

"Zelda took your place, told me she had been you the whole time. I thought you were a lie."

Sheik hugged him in his strong arms and sobbed, "I'm so sorry my guarded, I didn't mean for it to
be that way."

Link snuggled closer to him, "I dreamed of you."

This startled Sheik, "We were only babes!"

"I still dream of you. The day they took me away. You cried for me not to go away."

The blond bowed his head sadly, "I know you had no choice, I shouldn't have made you upset like
that."

 "Sheik."

Sparkling red eyes rose to his and Sheik had the sudden feeling that he was like a wild beast
trapped in a hunters net but unable to turn from the eyes of his captor. "I. . ."

"Why'd you let Zelda tell me you weren't real?"

"I. . . my feelings for you were unnatural, she was right about that, I had no right to wish what I did
for us."

 "You didn't say goodbye."

"I could never say goodbye to you Link."

The warrior of time placed a gloved hand lovingly over Sheik's cheek and smiled, "So don't."

 "Link. . ."

"Zelda wanted me to stay adult, and to stay in Hyrule, but I couldn't. I couldn't stand to look at her because I always saw you instead of her, it hurt."

    "I know."

"I became a child who knew what it was to be a man. And the only one I wanted was you."

    "Link."

"Don't say goodbye. Ever. If what you feel for me is unnatural then we'll be unnaturnal together because I can' t think of a life without you in it."

Shiek grabbed him up in his arms and planted sweet soft kisses all over his face, "I love you! I love you so much, my Link, my guarded."

Link laughed and squirmed in the embrace, returning each touch, "I love you."

The two of them slipped to the grass, kissing and touching and relearning every inch of eachother. Sheik slid Links shirt off of him and kissed a hot, moist trail down his hard, tan abs. licking and teasing until the hyrulian was crying in pleasure, writhing on the grass and begging for him to bring him release.

    "Sheik! Sheik! Ah! Oooh! Please!"

"Link. . . Mmmm." He captured the soft lips again, "How I missed you!"

The elvin boy pulled the Sheika's clothing off until he was completely bare, his smooth, white skin glowing in the sun set's colors. "You're beautiful!"

Sheik slid him shoes and trousers free, leaving Link exposed as he, "No, you are beautiful."

    "Please Sheik, I need. . ."

The pale boy touched the tip of Link's engorged length with his tongue, playing with the foreskin to slide under an dtease the opening.

"OOOOHHHH!!" He groaned, "Ohhh! Sheik! Sheik!! AaAaAa, Nnnnn, Please!!!"

The Sheika turned himself so that he was dangling before Link's Lips. He gasped as the boy greedily sucked him completely in and begain nursing his manness like a babe at it's mothers breast. It was too much!

"Link! Oh! OhOhOh! Link! I'm going to. . . Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!" He arched his back and his seed slid easily down the boy's throat. Link licked at the softening member, groaning and sobbing his need until Sheik deep throated him. He hit the back of his love' sthroat and the world exploded with his seed. "SHEIK!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The lay exhausted, currled in eachother's embrace. Link glanced at Sheik lovingly, "I'm never letting you go again."

"I'm sorry for all the time we lost. . ."

"Shhh." Link smiled, "Think of all the time we have ahead."
