*Longer than there've been fishes in the ocean...*

We see Heero and Duo in a park.  Duo stares into a wishing well and says
something to Heero, who shrugs and walks away.  Duo doesn't notice and
continues to talk.

*Higher than any bird ever flew...*

Duo finally notices that Heero has left and runs after him, stumbling over
his own feet.  A flock of startled birds surprise him and force him to stop
the chase.

*Longer than there've been stars up in the Heavens..*

It is night now, and Duo is stretched out on the grass, staring up at the
stars.  Heero walks up silently and sits by him.

*I've been in love with you.*

Duo grabs Heero's knee and points at a shooting star.  He squeezes his eyes
shut to make a wish.  Heero looks at him, then the star, then at Duo again.
His gaze lingers there for a long while.

*Stronger than any mountain cathedral...*

Duo is in his room, kneeling by the bed in prayer.  Walking past, Heero
looks in.  He enters and picks up Duo's bible, which is sitting on a
dresser, and begins to flip through it.

*Truer than any tree ever grew...*

Duo sees Heero examining one of the detailed pictures and laughs.  He triesto
explain what is being depicted, but gives up when he decides Heero isn't
listening.

*Deeper than any forest primeval...*

We see the picture Heero is looking at, of David in the lions den.

*I'll be in love with you.*

Heero leaves with the bible.  Duo sighs.  From under his pillow, he takes
out a picture of Heero.  He has written "My Only Love," on the back.

*I'll bring fire in the winters.*

Heero lights a match and a fire burns in the hearth.  Duo stares out at the snow.

*You'll send showers in the springs.*

Heero watches solemnly as Duo dances wildly in the rain.  The trees behind
the dancing boy are starting to bud.

*We'll fly through the falls and summers...*

Duo kisses a very surprised Heero, who quickly turns to anger.  Duo begins
to babble incoherently as the perfect soldier turns to leave.

*With love on our wings.*

Duo starts to break down, and Heero turns back to him.  Duo's eyes start to
tear as Heero pulls him into a warm embrace.

*Through the years, as the fire starts to mellow...*

It is snowing again, and Heero and Duo sit watching the fire die.  Duo says
something and Heero gives him a little smile.

*Burning lines in the book of our lives.*

Heero lights a candle, and Duo blows it out with a laugh.  Heero frowns and
lights another.  These actions are repeated multiple times.

*Though the bindings crack, and the pages start to yellow...*

Heero finally lights the candle, and Duo lets it burn.  He holds a piece of
paper to the flame and laughs as it burns.  Heero sighs and blows out the flames.

*I'll be in love with you.*

Duo presents Heero with a package of chocolates.  Heero puts one in Duo's
mouth and smiles as the braided boy eats it.

*I'll be in love with you.*

The two sit under a tree in the park.  Duo is asleep, leaning on Heero, who
kisses his forehead.

*Longer than  there've been fishes in the ocean...*

They walk by the well, and Heero hands Duo a coin to throw in for a wish.
Duo hands it back, indicating that he has everything he could ever want.

*Higher than any bird ever flew...*

Heero kisses Duo.  A nearby mother gasps and hides the eyes of her child.

*Longer than there've been stars up in the Heavens...*

Duo sticks his tongue out at the mother.  Heero sighs and shakes his head.

*I'll be in love with you.*

The sun sets and the two lovers walk away, hand in hand.

*I am in love with you....*

In the darkness of the night, a shooting star streaks by, lighting up the
sky for a brief instant as the final chords die away.
