<Part 1>

The night was dark, but not as dark as the magics afoot in the castle of the Saiyans. Vegita, his loyal serf, and the serf's lover, a deserter from Freezers army, slipped quietly out into the night, away from the fighting men that Freezer led to destroy them.

The prince didn't want to leave his home, but the king had entrusted him and his servants with all
of the magics of Vegita-Sei. All they could do is retreat and return to reclaim their home after
Freezer had left.

"Where should we go?" Zarbon asked softly.

A high pitched, evil voice answered, "You will not go anywhere!"

All three looked up in time to see a blast come at them, then the world seemed to grow much
larger around them and a foul darkness closed over them.

"What should we do with them?"

Freezer tossed the three cursed Saiyans into a pod and shrugged, "Let them landwhere they will.
They are of no use to me."

    "Sir."

And so Vegita, Nappa, and Zarbon began their new lives, cursed into bodies that were not theirs
and thrown to float in space for a thousand years, until finally their ship fell and they were condemed
to life as inferior beings among the creatures called ningen. The human race of planet Earth.

Vegita cleaned his pelt in an aloof fashion and blinked his black, shinning eyes. 'We are on Earth.'
He spoke but it came out as a series op yips and purring.

'What are we?' Zarbon exclaimed, studying his paws with bright pink eyes.

Nappa sat on his haunches and gazed at his lover with similar eyes of pink, 'Weasles?
Mongeese?'

Vegita snorted, 'We are ferrets you idiot. That insolent Freezer turned us into Ferrets!

    'What do we do now?'

Vegita eyed the landscape, 'Someone is coming.'

Yamcha walked home happily from his baseball practice. He was good at what he did and he
knew it, that made practice fun as Hell and each day good. He tossed a piece of popcorn up and
caught it in his mouth easily, "Mmm, love stadium food!" He chuckled to himself.

A little, blue, cat-like creature hovered around him, "You are really improving Yamcha, your
average will be high as any major league player's this season."

"Puar, maybe I have a chance at the big time."

"I knew you could do it Yamcha-kun! I knew it!"

Yamcha smiled but stopped walking. He looked closely into the trees where the three Saiyan
ferrets were hiding.

    'He sees us!' Nappa yipped.

    'Sire, maybe we should run."

Vegita paused though, and after a moment, he slipped out of the brush, showing himself plainly.

    'What is he doing?!'

'Don't ask me, he's your species.'

The prince ignored them and crept a little closer to the human who was now on his knees, cooing
and beckoning him to come. 'He looks like a Saiyan.' The prince blinked and sideled his way around
the large being with caution. 'He may be of use to us.'

Nappa and Zarbon stepped into sight also, very cautiously. 'We do need a place to stay, and
food.' Zarbon reasoned.

'and humans keep Ferrets as pets don't they?'

Vegita usually balked at the thought of being in anyones power, but his instincts told him to trust
the human, so he followed them.

Yamcha was pleasantly surprized as the Pure black ferret finally stepped up to him and stood on
it's hide legs, nose twitching. "Hey there little guy." He smiled and spoke in soft tones so as not to
frighten it. "What are you doing out here?"

"Yamcha?" Puar reasoned, "maybe you shouldn't touch it, It might not have it's shots."

The black haired man allowed Vegita to climb upon his shoulder and curl comfortably near his
neck then smiled at the two brown and white ferret's who remained, "You want to come home with
me?"

They both approached slowly but finally settled on his other shoulder.

"You are so cool!" He laughed, "I can't wait to show you to Goku, I'll bet Gohan would love one
of you."

Nappa jerked his head up, 'He means to seperate us!'

Vegita yawned, 'They sound like friends, it will be little trouble to meet.'

Zarbon currled up close to his mate and soothed him, 'I won't leave you. Where you are taken, I
will be also.'

    'Hn.'

"Goku!" Yamcha slammed inside without knocking, "Look what I found! I thought You and
Gohan might want the brown ones."

"Ferrets!" Gohan cried and picked the two up gently, "Cool!"

Goku smiled, "Yamcha you know what Chichi will say."

The tall human smiled and did his best Chichi impression, "Yamcha what do you think you're
doing?! Gohan has no time for pets! He must study hard like a good little student should!"

Goku tried not to smile but failed. "I'm sure I can talk her into it."

"I hope so." He smiled, "They're very scared and not easily trusting, but they haven't bitten."

"I want to name this one Pico!" He grinned, holding up Nappa. "And the other one will be Olo."

Goku's laughter woke Vegita and the little black ferret eyed him in anger.

"Ooh! Goku! I don't think this one likes you very well." Yamcha chuckled and smoothed the little
one's fur calmingly, "I have to leave anyway. I have to shower off the stink of practice."

"Why don't you ever shower at the ball park?" Goku wondered out loud.

"Don't want to show off my assets to just anyone."

"Always the same ol' Yamcha." He laughed.

Yamcha smiled a dazzling smile and walked out calling over his shoulder, "Wouldn't have it any
other way."

Vegita ferret sat on the sink base as Yamcha stripped and stepped into the hot steam of the
shower. When he saw a long brown tail arch into the stream from the small of the man's back he
nodded in satisfaction. //I was right. He _is_ Saiyan.//

"So little one, what should I call you?" Yamcha asked from the other side of the curtain.

Vegita rolled his eyes, 'as if you'd understand me if I told you.'

"I think I'll call you Gita."

The prince almost fell of the counter.

"You remind me of Prince Vegita, with that wild black fur and those deep eyes, and the way those other two followed your lead. I wonder how he's doing now. Probably he is running most of the
kingdom for his father. I only saw him once before my Otousan smuggled me here. . . once was
enough. My prince. . . I miss him." The saiyan admitted, "He never even knew my name so I guess it
doesn't matter anyway. It was over a thousand years ago. We were just kids. But I loved him at first sight."

The black eyes blinked as the saiyan/human pushed back the shower cutain and stepped out to
dry himself. //He loved me? I didn't think any one loved me on Vegita-Sei. They all wanted me dead
so father would choose one of them to rule.//

His scruteny didn't go unnoticed. Yamcha smiled and turned to him, "I'm sorry! You must be
starving! Come on." He held the startled creature against his naked chest, "Let's feed you ne?"

Life with the ball player was pleasant. Vegita ate with him at the table and slept currled up on his
chest at night. He rode on his shoulder when he wanted and wasn't caged or leashed. He could roam the house as he pleased.

//I wish I had my true form.// He thought, watching the lithe form of his 'human' as he worked out,
stretching and lifting wieghts.

Yamcha stopped for a breather and smiled at him.

    The ferret blinked.

He chuckled, "You probably think I'm crazy moving around like this, ne? It isn't the most amusing passtime in the world, but hey. He struck a pose dramatically, "I have to keep my girlish figure." A chuckled and scooped the black fur ball up into his arms.

<Part 2>

Ferret-Vegita watched Yamcha carefully as he shut the door against the rain.

"Hey Gita. Man practice was long today! I mean, I love it and all, but I haven't really been feeling up to much of anything lately. Ever feel like you can't do anything right?"

The sleek black creature stepped regally over to his Saiyan and waited to be picked up.

Yamcha smiled, "At least you'd never leave me would you." His eyes dulled and he looked away, "Not like she did."

//She. . . she. . . the blue haired bitch! She left him?!// The prince made a soft 'purrrrtttttt' sound and Yamcha offered him some popcorn he'd saved from the stadium. His Saiyan always brought gifts when he had to leave him home.

"Yeah, Bulma finally decided I wasn't worth her time." He flopped down on his sofa and Vegita resettled into his lap. "I guess I'm not."

A sharp bite from Vegita and Yamcha jumped and swore. //You're *my* Saiyan! Don't degrade you worth for a human bitch!//

"Ok, ok, I get it! You think I'm better off without her. I'm yours anyway right? Can't very well have some chic taking up all my time."

    //Better.//

"You know. . . sometimes I fell like you understand me."

Bright eyes blinked at him with intelegence.

"Yeah well, there's a big dance for the ball club this weekend and I have to go alone now. Gods I just need comfort sometimes you know? When I'm not alone. No offense, but I mean my own species kind of comfort."

    //I know how you feel.//

"If you were a guy, I bet you'd be exactly my type." He smiled and stroked the soft fur. "I bet you'd be the strong, brooding type. Really powerful and willing to let the whole universe know it. Like Vegita was." His smile faltered, "Kami just told us what happened on Vegita-sei. It's gone. So is he. I know I never stood a chance but I guess I always kept a little dream. To late now though."

Vegita was filled with a need to comfort. The feeling was new, but directed to the young man, he didn't mind it.

"I have to go. I have to buy a nice outfit to wear to the dance." He smoothed Gita's fur once more and settled him on a pillow. "I'll be back soon ok?"

Vegita watched the closing door and currled up where Yamcha had been sitting, 'If only. . ."

    "Oi! Hey!"

His eyes shot to a little green boy with wings who floated beside him. 'what the fuck?!'

"Oh, hehe, hold on a sec." He placed his hands on the ferret and Vegita felt his form shifting into himself again.

For the first time in years the prince of the Saiyan's looked at the world through human eyes. "I'm me! What did you do? Who are you?"

"I'm Namek Dende, I heal what is hurt but my power is limited so you gotta help me on this one ok?"

    "Why should I?"

"Because this spell only works till dawn tomorrow and I can only cast it five times per person."

    "Shit."

"It can be made permanent though."

    "I'm listening."

Dende cleared his throat and recited, "Love does heel most every scar, true loves touch will pian, disbar."

"So I gotta find a true love?"

Dende smiled, "I wouldn't look further than the master of this house."

    "Yamcha."

"He is the one, but you haven't much time. When you both admit your love you and your friends will be whole again. But remember, This spell goes for five days, starts at sundown ends at sunrise. If you don't both say you love eachother by the fifth day, the chance is lost." Dende winked, "Goodluck bai bai!" And blinked out.

Vegita stood staring at the place the Namekian had been then looked down at himself. Completely whole. He was wearing black tennis shoes, blue jeans and a shirt that said BAD across the chest covered by a black leather jacket. //I look human. Good.// He nodded and ran out the door, //Gotta find Yamcha.//

Dende watched from his perch in eternity and waved, "Good luck you guys."

<Part 2>

It didn't take long for the prince to find his saiyan. Yamcha had said he was shopping for a nice outfit to wear to the ball club's dance. It was logical then to check the clothing shops. Normally he would have searched for him by following his ki signiture, but since Vegita had only met Yamcha when the prince was in his ferret form, he didn't know what his ki felt like. Doing things the human way was not so difficult however, he found Yamcha in the second store he checked. The slender ball player was proudly modeling a bright yellow suit in the changing mirrors. Vegita smirked. Yamcha was a wonderful ball player, but the man was most definitly color blind.

With a confident smirk, the smaller Saiyan slipped behind his prey and lounged against the wall to study him. Colorblind maybe, but the other saiyan looked amazing in a suit. The svelt cut of the jacket emphasized his broad shoulders and hitched invitingly when he moved, just enough to tease anyone watchign with the possibility of seeing what lay beneith.

As if senseing the eyes on him, Yamcha turned and blushed.

"Nice." Vegita smirked, staying where he was against the wall. He had never tried to seduce someone, but he was pretty sure that jumping him, knocking him out, and carrying him away would be met with a hosile response. So he thought back to everything he remember from when Nappa had been courting, as horrifying an image as that had been, and modified it to fit a more dignified seducer.

"Uh, sorry, I was just. . . did you want the mirror?" The taller man couldn't stop blushing! The guy in front of him was sex on legs!

"I was enjoying the show, please, don't let me stop you."

"Oh! That." He giggled nervously and then blushed deeper when he realized that he'd just giggled! "I was just trying to uh. . . to. . ."

     "Perchase a suit?"

     "Yeah!" //Oh Gods I sound like an idiot!// "Uh. . . it's for a dance. . ."

"You must have a lovely lady to impress."

"No, no lady. Just me and my ferret." He assured the strager quickly.

Vegita's smirk widened and he let his gaze drop to the baseball player's crotch. "Oh is that your pet name for it?"

"It?. . . Oh! No! Real ferret! A black one, he's at home."

     "Hm."

"I. . . uh. . . I'm Yamcha." He offered his hand and Vegita took it with a slight bow.

Well this was about the part where Nappa had just decided to jump Zarbon, and Vegita still didn't think that Yamcha would appreciate that. He had no idea how to continue, so he kept his calm, inticing expression and hoped that Yamcha would lead the discussion for him. See-want-take didn't work well in romancing a human raised saiyan, and that was all Vegita really knew.

Thankfully Yamcha helped out. "What's your name?"

"Vegita." He spoke firmly but quietly and immidiatly saw the connection in Yamcha's mind.

"Oh my God! Vegita-sama!" He fell to one knee and grasped the Saiyan prince's hand, "I thought. . . Vegita sei was distroyed and. . ."

"I am not so easy to kill."

"But why. . . how. . . what interest does Earth hold for you?" the taller man was beginning to worry. "You. . . you aren't going to rebuild the empire here?!"

"Not with violence." He assured the other man. "I believe we can slowly take over by population. Nappa escaped as well and though his children will not be pure, they will be saiyan. I have seen quite a few saiyan here in fact."

"There is a small community. They do not know I am one of them. . ."

Vegita pushed away from the wall and placed his hand under Yamcha's chin, lifting his eyes to meet those of his prince. "I won't tell them. They are not the ones who interest me." He leaned forward so that his lips were almost touching the other man's and ten drew back, letting go of his chin and leaveing Yamcha staring at his back as he searched a nearby clothing rack. "Here."

"Huh?" Yamcha caught the soft leather trousers and then looked up in time to get hit in the face by a black, body hugging lycra shirt.

     "Wear those to your dance."

     "I. . ."

The Saiyan stepped closer and kissed his softly, not lingering. It was not imidiate passion, but a promise.  "Wear them."

"Yes." Yamcha breathed, awed by the touch of his prince's lips.

     "Meet me tomorrow night."

     "Where?"

Vegita smiled and slipped away, leaving Yamcha crouched on the floor of the clothing shop
