Ghost Who Walks Within Clan Gangrel
||||||||||||||||||||||
Description: Standing an imposing 7'10 and tipping the scale at nearly 500 pounds, Ghost Who Walks Within, or simply Ghost, is more than intimidating, he's fearsome. His features are weathered and his copper skin almost leathery which make estimations of his age extremely difficult. Most popular guesses range between 40 and 50. His long and straight hair is jet-black and usually tied back in a ponytail, framing his narrowed dark eyes and a brooding face sporting a long and jagged scar running down the left side of it. His wardrobe varies according to the situation, but he can usually be found in traditional buckskins or jeans and flannel.

Background Ghost Who Walks Within was raised among the early aboriginal tribes of North America and due to his massive frame and incredible strength he quickly rose to leadership of his small tribe. His brooding and silent nature earned him his tribal name, which seems to fit, even to this day. Reveling in single combat, he took on all challengers, and wears the evidence of it on his face to this day. He ruled much of the southeastern region of the continent for nearly a decade, and was one of the first to encounter the Spanish 'explorers' when they came to his land. He welcomed the Spaniards, hoping to acquire the advanced knowledge they brought with them and further the influence of his tribe. Unfortunately, Knowledge wasn't all they brought. An ancient Gangrel embraced Ghost and left him to his own designs for many years, secretly watching him grow into his new power. As time passed, the Americans emerged as a power, and Ghost fought them tooth and nail. When it became clear to him that his people could not win against the superior numbers and weapons of the Americans, Ghost led several hundred of them, along with many escaped slaves from the North, into the swamps of South Florida and were not seen for many years. While the rest of the Native American tribes were being driven like cattle along the Trail of Tears across the frontier to their new 'homes', Ghost organized his tribe among the Seminoles and they flourished, emerging in later years to negotiate with the US government for the independant lands they currently reside on, free from governmental interference. Activities: Ghost runs several small operations encompassing nightclubs, gambling, drugs and some prostitution from the protection of the Independant Tribal Lands. These activities fund the behind-the-scenes activities of the 'Tribe-within-the-Tribe'. Ghost maintains a standing force of approximately 40 trained and equipped Seminole warriors, called Dog Soldiers after the Cheyenne braves of the same name, who police and guard over tribal lands, both in the everglades, as well as over Ghost's operations in South Beach. He seldom ventures from tribal lands, preferring to oversee things from his riverboat in the Everglades, named after the famous Seminole Chief, Osceola. Recently, he has been exerting subtle pressure on the Kindred community at large, opposing the flooding of Tribal lands which is part of a new Evergaldes restoration project.

Outlook on Kindred: Camarilla: Our former Sectmates wish the best of both worlds, protection from their enemies, while placing their protectors on leashes. Forever more, if they desire our favor, they must ask it as equals. Never again shall we kneel as subordinates, subject to the demands of others. Sabbat: These are the true animals. They tout true freedom as a tenet of their cause, yet when it threatens to actually manifest, they move with incredible efficiency to crush it. Nevertheless, they are passionate and fierce warriors, it is unwise to underestimate them. Independents: Wildcards, with all the random connotations that follow. We shall keep an open mind about them....for now.
