BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY

Welcome
Coach Sebetka and Coach Sage would like to welcome all the new runners and their families to the team. The summer conditioning program was a great success and we are looking forward to a very promising season. For those new to the team, you can expect a RCC Bulletin every week with all the latest meet and team information. We also make every effort to post the Bulletin on the team web site which can be found at: www.geocities.com/raiderun, in the unlikely event that one of the runners might forget to bring the printed version home (yeah right). So check out the web site every Monday evening for the latest news.

Volunteer Help
So far this season we are planning to either host  or co-host four meets and we need as many parents to help as possible. If you are interested in helping, please keep the following dates/meets open:
8-24: SC Jamboree (CB)
9-28: Raider Classic (Space Coast Stadium)
10-31: Cape Coast Conference (CB)
11-9: Districts--still TBD (F. Burton Smith)
We may also be hosting a Freshman/Sophomore meet and a dual/tri-meet. We'll keep you posted. Look for information in the next Bulletin on the date for a parent meeting to prepare for the Raider Classic.

Sponsorship Drive
The team sponsorship program is doing OK, but lagging well behind what we have accomplished in the past. Each runner that gets two sponsors will receive either a cross country team visor or a team bag (their choice). We have extended the deadline to next Friday, August 23, but we have to wrap it up quickly so as not to hold up printing the team shirts.

Team Shirts
We need to know right away how many parents would like a team shirt and what size. The runners get the shirts for free. The parent's shirts are $10. Please let either coach now how many shirts you want.

Transportation
With the exception of the UF, Region, and State meets, we will need to rely heavily upon parents driving athletes to the meets. Early next week we will be sending home required insurance verification forms. If you can drive kids to the meets, please fill out and return this form ASAP.

Quote Of The Week
"The extra mile is often run alone."
