| Why Video Game Ideas? |
[David E. Pursell] No its not the predictable dull board game of yester-year but a totally interactive version which is definetly more realistic. You probably think "Why would i ever want to play a game based on life, nothing happens in life?", which is totally true. I mean there's no death ray weilding aliens coming at us or cataclysmic events that result in realiy shifting and sadly there is no such thing as Chewbacca. But you see you wouldn't want too live out "your" life, not to say every one has a dull life, but there has to be at least one instance where you wanted to do some thing and of course you couldn't. Why exacty couldn't you, well because you were too worried about the consequences. But have no fear silicon and polygons feel no pain. OK this is why im thinking of a game where you have total control over a human being's life, may seem a little sorted but listen to me, you can name them ,choose who your parents are, where you where born and of course you have control over the character. You see it would be a strategy game well the ultimate strategy game where you undertake in the epic of a persons life. You start as a toddler(of course time would be compressed greatly) and work your way up too the age of...well thats all up to you. No pointing towards a serious game but one where you can sort of don an alter ego and go on as many adventures in the most realistic world systems have to offer. The goal of the game would be to live to be a 100 or become famous. To make my idea work you would need at least several tottaly interactive urban cities and suburbs. These places would be complete with stores roads schools(which you would attend of course)and pretty much every thing you interact with in everday life. Some of you probably think this idea is pretty weird, but I think it would be great to play. One thing you could imagine is become manager of a fast food resturant and fire every one working for no reason whatsoever. I think it it would be great to take 30 minutes out of every day just to sit back and do the things you could only imagine doing in the real world.
