Fleet Faction
[Nathan Yan]This is sort of like a space fighter rpg. You start
out as freelancer star pilot. You decide to join one
of the four factions. Each faction has one special
advantage that no other faction has. Once they join a
faction they start out with some money and get to
choose a ship and all the weapons and engines and
stuff. Then you fly off, either as a solo pilot
flying around and picking off other pilots or go with
your flight group on a major mission to destroy a base
or something. You get paid every week (real time)
based on your rank. The better you do on misions or
solo flights, the higher in rank you increase. Also,
instead of being a pilot of a single person ship,
you could be a turret gunner on a hundred man
battleship. You get promoted on how many ships you
shoot down. You can use your money to upgrade you
ship or if you're a turret gunner, upgrade your
weapon. My idea for the game is a enourmous online
ongoing multiplayer game. Everybody joins a faction and fights
against each other. The game never has an ending.
You just keep fighting and fighting.
When you're not playing you can decide to let the computer
auto-pilot your ship and fly around or you can park
your ship somewhere and make it stay there until you
come back. If your whole faction is not there at the
time and you get attacked, your computer automatically
takes over all your ships. The game keeps going and
never stops, just like some rpg games.
BTW: you don't get paid for every 168 hours(a week).
You get paid on every monday. For example, you play 2
hours on monday, take a break on tuesday and wedneday,
play for 1 hour on thursday and friday, and take a
break on the weekend. You only played a total of four
hours but you still get paid. However, if you slack
off for a whole week, you don't get paid. You have to
play a minumum of 30 mins each week to get payed.
Add Ons:
[webmaster]Yeah it would be cool to go online a chat with your fellow teamates about your next attack and where it is gonna be. If the attack is a success you sould recieve a large amount of money to disperse evenly among your fleet members. If you accomplish certain things and have a very decisive victory you could take over the base and the team that you have defeated must go and regroup themselves somewhere else. If you are being attacked your leader could choose to send out a few probing ships and leave the rest behind to man turrets and protect your base. Your base could be set on a planet or be a spacestation. If you are on land maybe you and your enemy could have surface vehicles that can fire at things in the air and also have a weapon to use against other surface vehicles.
I think you should have a certain amount of lives like 10, and if you lose all of your lives you are kicked out of the fleet and forced to find another fleet to join. if your fleet stays alive for a long time there could be a high score list and the person who would get the credit would be the person who started the fleet (the fleet leader). If their fleet scores in the high score list they might get a star or something as a reward and might open up better privlages!
