Who: Sephiroth, Irvine Kinneas
Where:  Irvine's bedroom.
Why:  Sephiroth's dreaming, and just kinda ports into Irvine's room. Eek!
Date of Log:  9/6/00

This time it doesn't matter whether or not you are alone sad to say. You could be with some friends, or your newest female acquaintance in bed... it just doesn't matter. Sephiroth comes calling. Or, does he? Walking calmly through a wall comes a six year old. At least that's what it looks like for six year olds normally don't move through solid objects as if they weren't there. He comes to where you are and calmly sits himself in a place where you will notice him, but doesn't otherwise call attention to himself. The child does indeed have pale hair, but unlike the long length the adult sports this one looks to have had his hair cut down to almost nothing.. and badly so. It's not apparent from a distance, but the stuff is of varying lengths, none of which get longer than a centemeter. The whole affect is rather like someone was doing a hurried job on a very squirmy child, which is exactly what happened... if what one counts the fact this is only a memory and that hair cut was over twenty four years ago. So fine and pale is the hair that you can see the pink of the skin beneath. His appearance isn't made any better by his attire either. A denim jump suit that's a little baggy over a dull blue t-shirt with long sleeves. One his feet are a pair of small black shoes. So different from the adult in so many ways, although the signs of the adult are there in the large green eyes with a slit down the middle. Even at this age they glowed.

Indeed, Irvine -is- in bed with his latest 'girlfriend'. (Read: Just a friend really, and they both enjoy a good romp under the sheets sometimes while between relationships... if you want to call what either of them experience a real 'relationship' of any sort.) Luckily, they aren't in the middle of the horizontal bop. No, it appears they actually finished sometime ago, and are in the midst of afterglow talk/getting sleepy, etc. It doesn't change the fact that they're both naked as jaybirds, however.
When the 'child' suddenly comes walking through the wall, Irvine blinks. The girl, Jasia, stares, her mouth suddenly agape. The redheaded gunman sighs suddenly, fully aware that this has got to be Sephiroth returned. The glowing eyes gives it away, actually. But, seeing as his partner is -not- at all aware of who he is, she panicks, grabbing at the sheets to cover her nudity from a -child-.
Casually, Irvine quips, "Don't bother, Jasia. Get your clothing and head on out. I'll talk to you tomorrow. This isn't a child." She looks slightly concerned, and definately uncertain. It looks like a child, after all... to her.

Should he be embarrassed that he walked in on two people who were so obviously doing what the two of you were doing? Yes, a person should be bothered by such things, but the child just pulls himself into a chair near the wall and waits. Of course he might be sitting on someone's clothing. 9.9 And as he is, Sephiroth just as calmly pulls them out from under himself and offers them over to Jasia. Those green eyes don't yet blink as he watches her look confused - as well she should be. Nore does he do anything at all that might explain his presense here while the young woman is in the room. Doesn't even look away should she dress here in the room. Then again he doesn't much find her interesting, so there you are. At least it's something accurate for the age he's portraying, right? Once his seat is free of clothing, he settles back and places his hands into his lap. Those little feet even kick some. For all he looks he could be sitting out in public waiting for his mother to come out of a shop. Or something like that.

Jasia does take the clothing from the boy, though the look on her face is one of sheer confusion and embarassment. Sure, she's a slut but not in front of little kids! No, she doesn't dress in the room, waving briefly toward Irvine with the look that says 'you are -so- going to explain this to me tomorrow'. He smiles at her thinly, nodding silently in agreement. It's not like she'll leave him a choice. As soon as she's exited the bedroom area, the redhead sits up, not at all caring that he's still nude. He's fairly certain Sephiroth couldn't care less. Thusly, he takes his time finding his jeans and putting them on. Funny thing is, he still had that tribal style necklace and the Galbadian holy symbol on, even while otherwise nude.
"So, what brings you here this time?" he asks, trying not to sound vexed. But! this is getting a little rediculous. Now he's entering his room in the guise of a small child? And honestly, what more does the redhead have to offer him in the way of information? The last time he saw him, he'd pissed him off, or something.

Showing the same lack of interest in your nudity as he showed in your lover's, the child finally blinks slowly and cants his head to one side. Ah, no long hair to have sway about. He doesn't even have enough to suggest cowlicks. In time it will be very long indeed, but not right this moment. "This time?" That makes him think for a little while, and he honestly looks totally confused for a moment. No, from all appearances he doesn't at all know what you are talking about. Then after a moment a realization sets in and he ahs to hismelf before nodding. "You must have spoken with me while I was awake." And that apparently settles that.. at least for him it does at any rate. "Why did you send her away? Because I came here?" A small hand points towards the door poor Jasia went through, clutching her clothing. The kid just doesn't get this one either. He's not stupid, but you are going to find that there are things he simply doesn't understand in any regard. Sex and the embarrassment that follows being found at it are one of those.

Sitting on the bed again, Irvine scoots till his back is against the far wall. Folding his arms over his chest, he frowns a bit at this. "Awake? Are you telling me you're not awake now, Sephiroth? And what's with the child's guise this time?" These little visits, though sporadic, have become commonplace enough not to surprise the redhead as much as they did at first. As for Jasia, he blinks slowly a few times, reaching up to brush deshelved bangs from his face. "She was embarassed you saw her naked. I sent her off to spare her of it, though she's gonna be wondering and more then likely I'm gonna end up getting interrogated if she can't keep her mouth shut." And by the sound of it, Jasia's not well known for keeping said mouth shut. So much for keeping these little meetings quiet.

You ask and Sephiroth nods to show that you are right. "I'm dreaming." Makes a lot of sense, doesn't it? Not. Noting your ire, and still not at all getting it, the young man slides off his chair and pads quietly over to where you sit. He doesn't touch, but he looks up at you. The voice is rather like it was before... a six year old's version of the adult's. It did change with puberty, but not enough as to where you wouldn't be able to tell who's it was. Mostly it just got deeper, and slightly richer. Guise? He cants his head again. "I'm remembering a time before. That happens when I dream. My consciousness wanders and normally to places I've been before, so that explains why I came here now." One thing he doesn't ask is what your name is. Clearly he must know it while awake, but right now it's not something that's allowed him. Hey, no one ever said Sephiroth was anything normal. After his explaination the boy listens to yours about Jasia and looks to the door she went through. His lips are slightly pursed and he's clearly thinking over what you said. Hmm. Nothing is asked about it now however.

Dreaming. Well this is rich. Irvine closes his eyes briefly, letting the back of his head rest against the wall. So Sephiroth dreams about being a little boy and is somehow projected out here. Wait... he opens his eyes, cornflower blue orbs looking over the kid as if wondering if he's tangible. The plot thickens for the gunman. Does he just normally change his shape and teleport himself to random places he's been in? "Well, I don't quite know how I fit into this then, technically you're far older then I am..." even if it looks quite the opposite at the moment. "... so why teleport yourself here if you're dreaming of a time before? I doubt there were any Irvine Kinneas' here back then." See, the name is provided for you, even if the redhead doesn't realize he's giving it again. (Of course he could also be wrong. After all, he doesn't know who his true parents are.) Now he just kinda stares at the kid, having no idea what the younger version of the General is thinking at the moment.

Another slow blink of those glowing eyes and Sephiroth says nothing until you have gone quiet again. At the very least he's a patient one. As for tangible.. he certainly looks it, and should you risk it he will even be solid. Not as warm as a real child should be, but there is a pulse, and a warmth, and a breath there. Currently his temperature runs roughtly 92 degrees. This is quite a bit below human, but isn't something enough to proclaim him dead. Well, if you can touch him that is. With your speed and his current state you could do so once before he pulled away, but he will pull away if he's able. "I don't know either. Can you control your dreams?" The question is a quiet one, but almost intense with the way he's looking at you currently. It's his way of trying to explain that he isn't in control of himself at the moment. At least not in appearance and location. Some things won't change, such as his promise not to kill if someone doesn't attack first, but in many ways he's running more on emotion than the logic he normally relies on.

"Well, no, I can't, but my dreams don't teleport me into other people's rooms while they're having sex," Irvine replies wryly. Well, technically they'd already finished sex, but hey, who's keeping count anyway. No, he doesn't try to touch the kid, he was curious, but not -that- curious. He rubs at his chin for a moment, thinking about this development. "So... you're dreaming. You have no control over your body or your powers at the moment?" Now -that- would suck. Then again... eh, who knows. "So... what stage of your life is this, anyway?" Well, duh, the little kid stage, but he probably means more then just the obvious. The chopped hair is kinda curious. It looks like someone took a lawnmower to it and called it good.

Sephiroth shrugs a little as you comment about teleporting and the like. He doesn't dress like a cowboy and sleep around like you were never going to get the chance again. To each their own. "You weren't having sex." You are told calm as can be, for you weren't. This is followed up with, "I react to things as they occur." His voice is thin yet quiet. In this manner it's rather like he was whispering to you, a hushed kind of sound. Moving the one step that remains to the bed, a pair of small, pale hands are laid on the edge. No attempt is made to touch you either. "Five or six I believe." There is a little pause after this as he dwells a moment on the words. "While Professor Hojo had me in the cage. Sometimes if I retreat to these times as I sleep Jenova can gain no hold and twist them to her whim. And I can't teleport. This is a projection of my mind. My real body is somewhere to the north and east of here." Certainly more free with information like this. Then again some people do talk in their sleep. He's just better at it than others.

Opting to ignore the comment about whether or not he was having sex, Irvine listens and watches as the 'kid' that is Sephiroth finally reaches the bed, setting hands on it even. He makes no motion to stop him, indeed, he doesn't really care if the kid even climbs on up. However, listening to him, it all perplexes him further. These are things Sephiroth would never just offer him so casually, lending creedence to the 'dream' theory. He frowns as he hears about the 'cage'. "Someone kept you in a -cage-?" That's downright cruel, but then, this kid had nothing akin to a 'normal' childhood. The teleportation stuff is just kinda blinked at. Well, that explains quite a bit. That memory of his tucks this information away neatly to be perused and considered later.

You might sound outraged at the cage, but the boy merely nods. "For the first nine years of my life. Professor Hojo didn't like his experiments to move around much." For him this is simple fact and not something that can be either changed, or worried about. Well, when he's an adult anyway. Having seen far more of the world in the last six months than he had seen of it all the rest of his life, Sephiroth has been wondering about just what was denied him as a child. How could things have been diffierent if he were raised with parents and in something of a more normal environment. Wondering doesn't make it happen, but he wonders some all the same. For all of his alienness, Sephiroth is indeed human. A bridge between two species. Not a very comfortable one either. "Why was she embarrassed, but you weren't at being naked?" Perhaps the question is out of no where, but he's been thinking about it and now was the time to ask. Of course it never does occur to him that he might not be welcome here. Neither have you told him to leave, so maybe he is welcome.

The idea of raising a child in a cage totally disgusts and reviles Irvine, who doesn't even like for animals to be kept in cages. However, he drops the subject, seeing as Sephiroth seems to be as coldly accepting of this as he is nearly anything else that comes his way. The gunman didn't have it easy, never knowing his true heritage, but his foster parents were decent, they loved him, and no one kept him in a -cage-. However, the question kinda hits him from the side, seeing as he didn't see it coming in the slightest. He blinks a couple of times slowly, then lifts an eyebrow. Well... it does make sense. Sephiroth seems a mite bit alien enough not to understand human embarassment. "Because I don't care if someone sees me naked, she does. That and she thinks you're a little kid. And I know you're not."

Hmm.. food for thought. It does bring another question right off the bat however. "Why is it embarrassing for a child to see her, but not an adult?" Since you have inferred more than once here that Jasia was bothered by the fact he looks like a child and wasn't something older. Sephiroth listens to your question, but at the same time some of his attention is wandering. Six year olds don't generally have the best of attention spans, and although his is nearly adult it does indeed shift. He looks about the room some, but doesn't leave the side of the bed. "Are you upset I'm here?" Well, he's not stupid even if he is generally clueless about such things. Even Sephiroth can learn social interaction if given the time. The tone of your voice and your general surely attitude is starting to make him wonder. With that mako colored eyes shift back to you and he waits for your reply. The boy's attention is once more wholely on you.

Irvine chuckles at the first question. "Children are supposed to be innocent and protected and are not supposed to see the naked flesh of an adult like that. It corrupts them, or something." At least, that's how the Galbadian faith saw it. Then again, the Galbadian faith saw sex as something relatively evil too, unless it was kept to the marriage bed and used generally for procreation. He falls silent after that, watching the attention span of the six year old Sephiroth change. He's been around small kids before, and it almost amuses him to see that the General was somewhat typical as a kid even. Well, the next question gets him frowning slightly. "You've paid me quite a few visits in your waking yours, Sephiroth. I've been twice interrogated already, and I'm sure I'll get questioned about this time too." That and once he nearly got attacked, and just about -every- time he runs into the General there's some sort of unpleasantness going on. He just doesn't say that, yet.

"Oh." Nope, doesn't understand it. Then again he was raised in Midgar where things are done very differently. At least the Upper Plate people. The Slums society is one hell of a lot more mormal for all they are stuck living in a hole in the ground. Upper Plate people aren't the best of people, so his own mormals are rather on the lacking side. Then again when you see grass for the first time during your sixteenth year the world isn't exactly something you know a lot about.. and the people on it even less so. As you tell about being interrogated the green eyes lower from you, eyes half-lidding. This close you can see that even his eyelashes are white. It's not something people normally think about, but as eyelashes are always dark on people it's just one more thing that niggles at the senses and tells one he is wrong. The vivid hue of his eyes shows through that pale, not quite being able to hide it any more than his short hair can his the pink of his scalp. "Then why haven't you told me to go?" If you are bothered with it, then why do you allow him to stay?

That's a good question too. "Well, for one it's too late, Jasia saw you. For two, call me a sucker, but I'm not rude enough to ask you to leave... and I get curious as to why you're visiting me." The curiousity is the greatest truth. Irvine's somewhat fascinated and curious as to why a supposedly dead General has found a seventeen year old Cadet interesting enough to visit repeatedly. Glancing away, he shrugs, not really looking at anything in paticular, "You gave me the option to ask you to leave and not come back, but, I don't think I'll ever do that, because as much as you confuse me, at the same time, hell, I don't know." He finishes it kinda dumbly, but he really was saying more then he intended to, and felt he was rambling. The question just caught him sorta off guard. Why -doesn't- he just end these silly little meetings? Then again, why was he defending Seifer, not once but three times in one day even?

Silence follows all of this for Sephiroth is thinking about it. Well, as deeply about it as he can while dreaming. All the same thought is going on and so much so that he might actually remember this one in the morning. The words 'It's too late' are what have struck his mind and are making him dwell on it all. "...they are worried about you." He says, figuring this out as he speaks more to himself than to you. Those eyes still aren't on you and instead on the hands that are still gripped to the edge of the bed. "Worried because I am called the butcher of Midgar and have been wandering the halls talking to children... and now they worry about ShinRa." There is a little shake of the head and Sephiroth sighs out a deep breath. "I can understand why." With this the boy, who sounds surprisingly adult, lifts his gaze to yours and tilts his head slightly to one side. "If only there was a reason for the meetings and my wandering." A little shrug and he falls silent again. Whether or not you decifer that is up to you.

Regardless of how Irvine feels about it, yes, they are worried about him. Some are, anyway, others just think there's some link to the Galbadian kid that no one's figured out yet, or something. And there are plenty of questions as to why the Butcher of Midgar has sought out Garden's resident sharpshooter repeatedly. However, he's not so sure about the Midgar link. "ShinRa thinks you're dead though. Surely your presence here doesn't threaten them down on our heads." Besides, how would ShinRa even know about it? Then, as an afterthought, he adds, "I'm not a child anymore." But, that gets over shadowed quickly enough. He doesn't know the meaning of this odd meeting either, at least the others seemed to have some purpose, Sephiroth arriving with a question, or two or three, or at least seeming to have a purpose. This... is surreal. Irvine almost wonders if he's the one dreaming, though he knows he's not. Still, it is late, and he's actually beginning to get tired.

A small finger is lifted in an effort to silence that string of thought. "ShinRa posted that I was dead, and from what I have gathered even threw me a large funeral... and yet they have sent out some of their best in an attempt to find me during the last few months. Why would a people who believe me to be dead look for me?" There is a sharpness in the eyes that wasn't there before. Logic always was one of his strong suits. "Nor does that have any relivance on Garden. ShinRa has never been one for telling the truth, Irvine, and Garden should know that. So what if they have pronounced me dead? I might be out searching for information for them. Although it makes little sense when you stop to think about it. Just why send someone as obvious as myself when you are trying to gain information on a rival country?" The boy lowers his hand back to the bed and shrugs a little. "It doesn't matter that I no longer have anything to do with ShinRa, or that if I had a choice I would pull that whole city quite gleefuly down around their ears... I represent a power and a threat Garden doesn't yet know how to deal with yet, and have been spending time with one of their children." He has to stop there as you protest about not being a child. It brings Sephiroth to smile at you. Yes, he called you by your first name and now he's smiling at you in an altogether adult and knowing way. Yes, all children respond like that, Irvine.

Wincing at the string of thought as it's rattled off, Irvine does see the logic in it, but much of it was information he'd not been made aware of. Other parts of it he simply hadn't thought of. Cornflower blue eyes close and he lets his head rest back against the wall. Luckily, the redhead is fairly sure that Sephiroth is being dead honest tonight, that somehow in his subconcious he is a little freer with information. So for that, he's glad or he'd feel mighty gullible right now for the amount of information he's released so far about Garden to the infamous General. He doesn't say anything this time, not even another protest about not being a child. He is, really, but then, this is a Garden full of such children, he's hardly an exception.

Sadly, even after giving so much truth the ex general goes and reads your attitude wrong. Then again this shouldn't be a surprise, right? It's always a tossup to see which aspects of a conversation he will understand and which of the things will go right over his head and into the distance. Yes, Sephiroth gets it wrong and assumes things incorrectly. It's your silence that does it. The lack of words after he said what he did. You are upset over being called a child. He really should have known better. Having dealt with many years of teen-ager Soldiers all wanting glory you'd think he would understand a prickly pride... of course it doesn't at all occur to him that he could be wrong. Why? With a little nod, the small figure lifts his hands from the bed and steps back a pace. Your silence has led him to believe you wish him to go. All the same he pauses to give you the option to say something. Why does he honestly come time after time? Because you don't tell him to go and no matter that he deludes himself he's lonely and you talk to him. Does it have to be more complicated than that?

Cornflower blue eyes open again, the head tilting slightly to the side, yet remaining against the wall. He notices the motion, and actually expected the disappearing act. Yet, there the child that is Sephiroth still is. "I thought you were about to poof again." No, there doesn't need to be a more complicated reason, but the simplest reason is the one Irvine hasn't actually thought of. His is different, but at the same time, similiar. Simple curiousity. There's a reason why he keeps coming back, and for all the times Sephiroth's either scared him or irritated him, he actually finds himself wondering when the next time he'll see the former General will be. He's actually started to -expect- these little visits. After all, how many other students have the Butcher of Midgar visiting them? Well, as far as he knows none of the others do...

Sephiroth nods as you say that, and it doesn't surprise him. He does indeed take it wrong again, and that is the only reason it doesn't surprise him. "Good night, Irvine." Is said in almost a whisper, almost wistfully, and with a sigh the small form vanishes just as you have seen him do so in the past. This time it's more of a fade out than that instant disappearance, but he's soon gone all the same. Hopefully not everyone and anyone in Garden will know about the kid tomorrow morning.. although with the way you described Jasia that is asking a little much. Hope you enjoy your talk with Cid. ;)
