o/~ In the middle of the ni~ight, I was walkin' in my sleep... o/~ Though that song isn't playing, it might as well be. All may very well be quiet in the Garden Dormitories, but that by no means denotes that all is -still-. An Irvy-shirt and flowery-panties clad Selphie is not, in fact, in bed where she should be. She is, however, just now rising from her previous spot, though not very aware of it. After a brief pause, she shuffles to the desk, for one reason or another. Rummage, rummage, rummage through the papers. What the heck? Meanwhile, dream_Sefie has a lovely dream involving her searching through piles of papers for her check for a Zillion Gil.

Why Selphie continues to wear clothing to bed is beyond Irvine's guess, he just enjoys taking it off of her again. Well, half the time anyway. Tonight he let her get away with it, it seems. Turning over, he's asleep, at first. He reaches an arm out to pull her to him, but... hey... no Sefie. At this little realization he does finally awaken, cornflower blue eyes fluttering open to glance at the empty spot the girl had occupied when he drifted off earlier. That's when he hears the rummaging. Glancing up he asks, sleepily, "Sefie, what're you doin'?"

"Finding my check," she replies easily enough. Though her voice -is- thick with sleep. Rummage, rummage. "Matron said she left it here." ...What the -heck- is she talking about? Of course, in Selphie's little mind, this is all really happening in her dream. You see, she won the money from a gameshow -- though she never dreamt about said gameshow, it's just known to her that she won -- and Matron picked it up for her, since she's so young. And the woman had informed the SeeD that she would leave it on Irvine's desk, and that she needed to see Squall about it right away, for one reason or another. And sure enough, Irvine walks up to her in the dream, asking what she's doing. Selphie -seems- awake... A drawer opens. Rummage, rummage.

Sitting up on the bed, Irvine rubs at his eyes with the heels of his palms, trying to wake himself up. This is odd. "What check is that?" he asks, of course, not realizing that Selphie is quite asleep and dreaming. Suddenly he remembers -what- he's hidden in that desk and he rises rather sharply, "Um, Darlin'... I wouldn't go searching through those drawers." Oh crap. There's a paticular small box in there that he -thought- would be safe from her, seeing as no one goes into those drawers, no one. They're far too cluttered, and full of stuff he really should just toss out.

Rummage! As her dream_Irvy tries to stop her from looking, real_Sefie pauses. "The one I won! --And why not? What if Matron put it in there? I have to hurry and go see Squall..." What? She's talkin' nonsense! And even if her hand did happen to find said box, it isn't her precious check -- so it's ignored. Opening another drawer tentatively, the girl goes about rummaging once more. "You don't know where it is, do you?" She wavers in her stance, and in the dark, it's not obvious whether her eyes are open or not.

Now approaching the sleep walking Selphie, Irvine isn't sure what's going on here. What in the world is she talking about, Squall? Matron? "Selphie, there's no check on the desk." He should know, though he's not sure what she -means- by a check. She -must- be dreaming. Oh wait, isn't there something about not waking up sleep walkers? Hmmm. He thinks about this for a moment, not quite so worried about the little box anymore. If she's sleeping then there's no worries of her finding it. "Darlin', why don't you find it later. Squall's not even here right now. Come back to bed."

Sleepwalking_Selphie frowns, even if it's not seen. "Why -not-? She said it'd -be- here..." She's confused, now. Would Matron lie to her? Her search continues, as the girl rummages a bit more hurriedly now. "I'll forget about it, though...!" Though the 'come back to bed' comment rather sparked a new direction of the dream, dreams being dreams and all, and she suddenly 'remembers' that Matron forwarded the check to Squall herself. And suddenly, the check from the gameshow was really a wedding present from someone, and... It's her honeymoon. Yikes! Selphie's dreaming of marriage, now. Tch. "Coming," she says, dutifully, moving towards the cowboy. >_>

Of course, Irvine has no idea that she's dreaming any of this, just breathing a sigh of relief that she seems suddenly convinced to come back to bed. He sits again, then scoots back, expecting that she'll lay back down again. He watches her expectantly, though his eyes also move toward the desk, trying to make sure she shut the drawers again. He's seriously paranoid about her finding that box. It's too dark though and he can't tell. "That's in, Darlin'. Time for bed." He could said -sleep- but that'd make things easy or something and we can't have that, now can we?

Right-o. Making thinks easy for the couple would be blasphemy, punishable by... something yucky. A giggle in the dark, and Selphie sits heavily on the bed, swinging her legs up after her. "You're not already tired, are you?" Er. The room in her dream is a luxurious one, though of course, isn't -really- a hotel room... It's also partially Irvine's room, like the bed. Again, you know how dreams are. Leaning onto the cowboy, the girl pulls herself to him, giggling again. Apparently, the Incognito Libido is in charge of dreams tonight.

Hearing her giggling, Irvine lifts an eyebrow. Oh sure, she can't see it, but it is his confusion clearly written there on his face. He reaches out to draw her in against him, fully considering this liscense to go back to sleep again. It's a good thing he's not aware of her dream, or her Incognito Libido (tm). He'd be more embarassed then anything, since he's not out to take advantage of her. "Er, well, I'm awake now, Darlin'." Though he really doesn't want to be awake much longer. Sleep... yes. Well, as soon as he's sure she won't be getting up again.

Siiiigh! Irvy. Her husband! While Dream_Sefie doesn't really remember the wedding, she's sure it was nice. "Mmmn?" Pulling one foot up to draw against Irvine's calve, the little brunette nuzzles him happily, making a noise that might only be described as a 'purr.' Hrm. What -is- she dreaming? "I love you," is whispered in mid-nuzzle. Er...

Chuckling softly, Irvine kisses Selphie's forehead, more then happy to cuddle her close. Whatever she's dreaming, it must have something to do with them being happy fuzzy, so he can handle this. Then, wait... what's her leg doing? She doesn't normally do that does she? Uh... ahem. He doesn't draw back, but he does attempt to um, well, lay back a bit, turning so he's on his back, trying to pull her against him so her head is on his shoulder. That'll work... right? Now he really starts wondering what she's dreaming. o.o

Ooooh! Yay. Now Selphie can pull her knee up over Irvine's leg, now that he's lying on his back and all. And her head does indeed go to his shoulder, picking up where the nuzzling left off. Pooooor Sefie. Well, Irvy too. Honestly, if she knew what she was doing... Well, it's not really known -what- she would do if she knew she was doing this. Prolly fall off the bed.

"Darlin'..." Irvine says, now -he's- the one using the plaintive little protest. It's all kinda nice and everything and under normal circumstances he wouldn't mind in the least, but he's fairly certain she's not at all coherant and is still, in fact sleep walking in a way. And you're not supposed to wake up sleep walkers, it's like dangerous or something. So, uh, what's he supposed to do now? Try to move again? Ok, he does, though something tells him it'll work about as well as the last time.

There's a slight pause in her movement, as even Dream_Sefie can tell that Irvine's not playing along. "--What's wrong...?" Sniffle! Does he not want her? Is he leaving her? Waaah! Of course, as the worries start to build, this session of 'Sleep Walking' comes to a sudden, random, close. Knee still drawn up over Irvine's led, head still resting on his shoulder, the girl quiets, breath rhythmic. No movement, either. The dream fastfowards to antoher part of the dream, as they're wont to do. Motionless Sefie.

Breathing a quiet sigh of relief as Selphie seems to finally drift off back into some semblence of normal sleep, Irvine lets his own eyes drift shut again. He had actually winced when she asked what was wrong. He hadn't meant for it to seem like he was rejecting her. Eesh, what in the world was she dreaming about anyway? Ah well, she probably won't remember. But... this might be good teasing material later on. He starts to drift off again too, back to sleep.
