Name: Badb (pronounced: Bav) Primary Element: Air Secondary Element: Status Spells granted: Float, Air, Haste, Confuse, Tornado Physical Enhancements: SPD-junction: While junctioned to Badb, Irvine is fast. Extremely fast. Quick on his feet, able to run long distances at speeds up to 40-45 mph (though for limited amounts of time, mind you), this effect also increases reaction times and reflexes. Badb may not do things such as increase strength or HP, but she does believe in quick strikes to end a confrontation. Dexterity-Junction: Badb also gives the gift of dexterity. Not only does this increase manual dexterity for mundane things, it also lowers chances of fumbling in battle, or other clumsy moves that could get him into trouble in an awkward moment. She is a battlemaiden, and thusly frowns upon her Chosen behaving clumsily in a battle/fight/contest. Elemental Attack: There is a chance, when a strike connects and causes damage to an enemy, of Confusion suddenly overcoming the target, making it difficult to reoriented to his/her/its surroundings. Badb is known in myths to come down onto the battlefield and cause confusion in the enemies of her chosen people, and it is much the same for the GF Badb to aid Irvine. Elemental Defense: Wind/Air based attacks do no damage to Irvine while junctioned with Badb, magic based Wind/Air attacks do half damage. Chances of affecting Irvine's Status are also halved. Badb's realms of influence are Air and Status, and she grants her Chosen immunity from those who would use the same attacks against him. Reap the Whirlwind: Irvine can call on Badb to allow him to create confusion in multiple enemies while striking opponents with a wind based attack similar to Tornado. There is only a fifty/fifty chance that an enemy so struck will become Confused. Drawbacks to this? Oh you bet there is. Irvine will be incapacitated for one round of combat after calling upon this 'gift'. This is to ensure he only uses it when needed, Badb doesn't like being taken for granted. Personality: Badb is lively, to say the least, she enjoys each moment to the fullest, never caring for the trivialities that plague and stress human populaces, especially the ones that bother Irvine. She has a great love for battle, and believes it healthy to get out one's aggressions rather then bottle them. She is also quite judgemental and difficult to please at times. In true form, she appears sometimes as a Crow (and this is how Irvine pictures her within his own thoughts) and other times as a woman with black wings. (Though none have ever seen her manifested except her redheaded gunman.) Cost: Badb asks that Irvine engage each battle as it comes to him. She prefers him not to wade into the gore, but approach it strategically, engaging when it is the best time to strike. However, she does _not_ want him picking fights, feeling it is a waste of time and effort to be a bully. She abhors cowardly behavior, on and off the battlefield, and often this will drive Irvine to do things normally he'd be far too frightened to even attempt.
Quirks: While junctioned to Badb, Irvine's got this constant wind thing going on around him. His hair floats behind him ethereally, the coat often shifts as if a breeze rippled through it, even when indoors and there's _no_ circulation. |
