Beth Cordell

Yeah I met God today
And he was absolutely nothing like me
Showed me up like some dimestore hooker
It was plain to see
I couldn't take it anymore
So I went back to the sea
Cause that's where fishes go
When fishes get the sense to flee
[he said]
Where you going now?
What's your... plan.

Yeah I met God today
And he was absolutely just like me
He opened my mouth, looked down my throat
And told me I was thirsty
He told me I'd been living all this time
And never took the time to breathe
Breathe... BREATHE

Whatcha doing in the darkness baby
When you know your love can set you free
Will you stay in the sea forever?
Drowning in eternity
livin' down where the sun don't shine
come on out into the light of love
Don't spend another day
Living in the sea...
"Where Fishes Go" by Live

Beth Cordell was born under the sea, the daughter of two Deep Scouts far into the Atlantic. Her brother, five years her senior, became her protector, and for most of her life, she was sheltered. Deviating from the warrior/scout lifestyle of the rest of her family, she began training in the field of medicine, completing most of her college work before being transferred to Wave's End, and the Oceania Clinic, for her internship.

That's when things took a sudden twist in her so far sheltered life. She decided to swim for the shore, to explore the local area above ground, as many a submariner had advised her. She'd never breathed air through her lungs before, and had to experience it. In the R/T, she ran into the Adept Toraxyn... who upon realizing her profession, decided to attempt to make use of it. The result is a much more paranoid Beth who now refuses to go up to the surface any further, for fear she'll run into the strange Mage again.
