| Nagesh Kukunoor should very soon take over the mantle of "most talented director of Indian Origin" from Mr. Shyamalam for he is simply brilliant. Story, Direction, and an actor himself, this movie is like a whiff of fresh air. Its genuinely absolutely fresh and with the taste of Quentin Tarantino style direction, the whole movie unravels so beautifully that you actually get the bumper ending you had expected right from the start. Jackie Shroff in a brooding and subdued role. Naseerudin Shah at his best and Juhi Chawla simply brilliant. The director himself has done an amazing job of depicting the charater he portrays. |
| Teen Deewarien is a story of three stories all interlinked to one day of terrible bad luck for one of the protagonists. That's the best part really - it all boils down to such bad luck and coincidences that you feel a huge sense of understanding and sympathy for all concerned. |
