Sweet Home Alabama
| Rheese Witherspoon in a romantic comedy, this runaway hit is pleasant viewing but nothing special other than re-emphasizing the age old cliche that love is more important than anything else. A successful designer returns to her hometown to divorce her loser husband whom she'd married right out of college and marry instead the son of the Mayor of New York (Candice Burgen wasted in this cliched role) and instead realizes that all her small town friends aren't really losers and that true love lies very much in Sweet Home Alabama. |
