Daredevil

A story of love, sex and murder with a difference? Not quite. An old story retold, yes, an obvious ending, yes. Boring? Definitely not.
What makes this flick slightly different is the actors. Bipasha Basu and John Abraham share a great on screen presence, and personally I found it difficult to believe that Johns voice was actually dubbed by someone else. Its been done extremely well and hes certainly done a good job of his first film.
Set in Pondicherry, the story of a supposedly lonely married woman whose very rich husband doesnt live with her most of the time is alright per se, but there are too many loopholes. And Bipashas gowns, which may be said to be required as of the character were really way off the mark if you want to show real life characters. Pooja Bhatt are you listening?.
Johns character grows well. From a hopeless drunk lawyer saving petty criminals off the street to a lovesick Romeo who falls easily into the trap of disposing off his girlfriends husband, to the regretful murder wondering when and how he fell so low and finally seeing the light and emerging from the entire experience only to wonder why he had gotten into it in the first place. Touching definitely.
The vague aspects of the movie no police investigations, no one suspecting of their affair, the weird sister of the disposed Gulshan Grover and of course the very fact that he agrees too easily that a divorce isnt possible just because there is money and danger involved.
Watch the movie if you want to see Bipasha and John. Dont watch it if you want to see a movie with a new storyline.
