Jhankar Beats
| Watch it for a repeat of the camaraderie of �Dil Chahata Hai�. Watch it for excellent performances from Sanjay Suri, Rahul Bose and Shayan Munshi. Watch it for its subtle humor and Sholay references. Watch it to see a simple film on the simple lives or some normal Indians and watch it certainly for some decent music. But do not watch it for Rinkie Khanna and Riya Sen who are truly the pain points of the movie. Luckily we were torture was lessened by ensuring they had relatively short roles. |
| Though fairly predictable in the second half, the handling of the various events that needed to be sorted out before the ending of the movie � the Jhankar Beats competition, the separated wife and the one liner required at work � was decidedly different and not clich�d in any way. I did wonder though why there was no closure for the pigeon that continuously used Rahul Bose�s car as a target for its droppings, but that was too minor to dampen the spirit of the movie. |
| Rahul Bose is what Mumbai is all about. Sanjay Suri and Juhi Chawla are a pleasure to watch but most of all, the jokes are hilarious. After a long time, a good funny movie. Subtle not stupid, lot of use of puns and �non slapstick� unlike the usual Indian cinema. |
