Hungama
| A good funny Bollywood movie after a really long time. And funny in the true sense of the word. Not slapstick funny, not people falling over each other unnecessarily funny and certainly not Johnny Lever making faces funny. Its a genuine one. The story line, all the characters and the planned misunderstandings were all really enjoyable. Aftab Shivdasani in a rather small role and Akshaye Khanna in also a rather small but notable role. His interactions in particular with Paresh rawal are truly hilarious. But that's to whom the movie really belongs. Paresh Rawal is brilliant as is his behenji turned modern wife. Rimi Sen is ok though I really don't know where she came from or why she was chosen, but watchable nevertheless. A large number of other charachters from Shakti Kapoor to the village simpleton wanting to marry Rimi to a conman and the servant he'd liased with. An ecclectic cast of characters and a good film. |
