Lessee... my name is Glenn, and I used to go to the greatest university of them all... THE University of North Carolina (aka, the big one based in Chapel Hill, NC). I graduated in May, and although it was the best 4 years of my life... I'm very extremely glad that its over and I have my degree and am ready to move on to the real world.
Now if only the real world were ready for me.
Check out my pages, my pictures, and get in contact with me if you so desire. I talk quite a bit, and am always ready for a small break to exchange a few words.

Personal Life: My car lives again!!! Well, as much as a '97 Geo Metro can live. Apparently the Fuel Pump went bad on it, and during its 4th trip to the shop in less than a month, that goal was accomplished. We only went through 2 fuel filters, a set of spark plugs and wires, and many colorful expressions to get there. But its currently fixed and running much better than it was.
Snow Storm 2002 was survived using my mothers Explorer, which I only did a few slides in. And one 360 on the inner belt-line of Raleigh.
School: Nothing much to say here... except:
GLENN
IS
GRADUATED!!!
And now, the break down of the classes as they were on my last semester at UNC.
|
Comp 130: Databases. Pretty good class, lots of useful info... but we ended up extremely far behind the syllabus in this class. The information we could have learned we didn't... but we did learn how to model databases and use MS Access.
|
Comp 145: The most awesomely useful class. Software Engineering. Admittedly I didn't do much programming for this course (two other fellas took it over on me) but I helped with every other aspect of the project, which actually works. :-)
|
Drama: It was an 8 am class. Blah. Some of the plays were interesting, which I admit was quite nice, but for the most part, I've not found a use for this class or the info it gave me other than "random knowledge" factor.
|
English: Not a completely bad course, but it wasn't the greatest course in the world in my opinion either. It was full of old timey "feminine" novels. Aka, Female characters who get all upset on whether they use a mans first name before he gives her permission to. I mean 3 chapters of upset. Oh well, one has to deal with the good as well as the boring.
|
Psychology: Really great course. And the TA teaching the course was the most amusing I've met. She's so hyperactive!!! |

My hobbies include reading (I am a big Robert Jordan fan and recently started in the Anne McCaffrey novels), chatting on the computer, surfing the net, watching movies on Sunday (American Pie and The Sixth Sense is awesome) and hanging with my friends.

My personal opinion on Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series: basically, each book has been better than the last, and when the first book started off spectacular, that is saying a LOT! It really is a great series, with so much human nature in the characters, it is almost scary. Plus, he adds a lot of humor to the series.

Christopher Stasheff's A Wizard in Rhyme series is an extremely well written book with several themes I like. English major gets sent to medieval times where magic is done by rhyme. A tad heavy on the religious side, but a great "Good vs. Evil" battle none the less.
Believe it or not... the Harry Potter books are actually very much worth the read. They are quite amusing, and not just written for kids. READ THEM!!! READ THEM NOW!!!

David and Leigh Eddings' Belgarath the Sorcerer and Polgara the Sorceress are 2 of the best books I've read in a long time. Essentially, each book is written by the title character as an auto-biography of their multiple-millennium long life spans. This turns into both the characters throwing snide remarks at other characters from the series that they know will end up reading the book, as well as very interesting insights into the writing characters. |

About the Picture
Well, there isn't much to tell about the picture... I took it with my relatively new computer camera, and I am not smiling because I think I have a very goofy smile.
As for the bed and the mess in the background, it is not mine. It is my ex-roommate's. I am not THAT messy yet! :-)
About THIS picture
This picture was taken by my webcam. Not sure what I was thinking of, or what I was doing, but I kinda like it. I believe this was from the last time I had the camera on, so if you check that page, the same picture will probably be on there.
OLD GLENN - a picture from the very beginning of SOPHOMORE year that I thought I got rid of.
Click here to see an extremely bad picture of me and my smile! :-)
EVEN MORE PICTURES!!!--Tho they are all from High School, here are some more pictures of me.

What can I say, a page dedicated to my best friend... mostly pictures at the moment, but isn't that enough?!?
Eventually, I'm gonna get a webpage created in honor of my other best friend Moats. Sadly enough, I have very few pictures of him to work with, and the bastard is in the Marines and who knows WHERE he's stationed at now... but I'll get it done eventually, and before he retires at that. :-)
