Baby Anuksha, 18 months old (DOB: Aug 5, 2004) has been diagnosed to have
severe to profound hearing loss, which means she cannot hear and speak. This is
a congenital condition and needs medical attention. The medical reports from the
tests conducted indicate that "Cochlear Implantation" is necessary.
The cost of the procedure is nearly eight lakh Rupees (i.e. US$ 16000 ).
Her father Sanjay Kumar Das works in the Jharkhand state government and her mother
is a housewife. Her mother has gone through a kidney operation in CMC, Vellore,
India in 2003; she lives with only one kidney.
The financial condition of the family currently does not permit such an expensive
operation. The doctors at the Madras ENT Research Foundation, Chennai also feel
that this is a deserving case. Please help "Anuksha" to recover from this
to enable her to hear and speak normally like all of us.
All donations can be made in favour of "Madras ENT Research Foundation
Charitable Trust".
