Rustic Plantations
When you have had enough of
beaches, or need to get away from the madding crowd, drop everything and drive
to Rustic Plantations. Situated on
the extreme north-east tip of
The
plantation is situated in a valley, at the foothills of
Rustic
provides a variety of packages hosting picnics, family outings, study tours,
corporate workshops, and, camps only for ladies and senior citizens.
A
number of nature camps are held there regularly. Children, usually 30- 40 in
number, stay over at the plantations in tents. Activities for them include Nature
trails, Nature games, Debates, Bird watching, Snake shows, Star gazing, Slide
shows, Outdoor games, Dramatics, Personality development, Clay work, Origami
and Camp Fire.
The
owners Sham and Ujwala are very warm and friendly
people. Sham tells me that they even organize sightseeing for the visitors
staying over at the plantations. This includes visiting Hiverem
and Charavne village, Bondla
wildlife sanctuary, Tambdi Surla,
the Brahma Karmali temple (only Brahma temple in the
world), etc.
When I
am at the Rustic Plantations however all I am interested in is soaking in the
cool, gurgling streams that run through the plantations. I usually am alone
when I visit the plantations so I cherish the silence as well!
