HURRAY..... I got 102 km/l on my TVS CENTRA.

THE STORY BEGINS HERE.....

First let me introduce myself.i am rahul kharade from mumbai.age 22. I decided to buy  bike which gives me best milage in feb 2004. At that time tvs just launched its new tvs centra with funky features (like vti engine , 100 km/l ,better look etc). and even better price.i bought it from numeer eins-mumbai at mrp (on road) @42650. right now mrp is Rs 44375.

    in 100 cc bike i had 4 choices. 1.hero honda splender+ -price arond Rs47000. second one is passion+ @49000 & third one is baja boxer ct (k-tech) @39300.so i decided to buy tvs centra by taking too much risk (because that time i could not find any single review of bike). so i booked my tvs centa on 20th feb 2004. & my bike is delivered to me on 8th march (MH-02-AE-7432). for first 1000 km i never crossed 40km/hr.becuse of run in period. that time i got avrage beteen 60-62 at every time. first let me tell you the driving conditions. my 60% runnig is on main roads.10 to 15% on inner roads & 25-30% on highways.from first day pepole askes me about average.by telling them 60/62 average they could not satisfy.even me also. so i waited up to first servicing.but average remain same.even i asked 7/8 centra pepole about their average.their average is 65-75. so i frusted that why bike is giving me 60 not 70. even my friends told me it must be 70-75. so i told them it must give at least more than 94-95km/l in ideal conditioned. & decided to take test drive in ideal conditioned.for this i want the proper place where i can drive continiously at 40 km/hr.(idle speed of centra is 40).so i decided mumbai ahemdabad road for my test drive.

so i took exact 1 ltre (speed) petrol bottle with me. & on 9th june at 4:45 am  i started my journey from andheri on 2378 km on my speedometre.but actually my journey started on 5 am.because on 5 am it comes on reserved at the metre reading 2385.so i took metre reading as 2385 and filled exact 1 ltre petol in fuel tank which was in bottle.and started my journey by maintaining constant speed of 40 km/hr.first 65 km i did not decrase or increase speed or a single break.after 75 kms i took u turn and started my journey returned to the mumbai. at the metre reading 2487 it comes on reserved.and i shouted happily. because i got average of 102 km/ltr.

        now i dont have any complaint.my all doughts are cleared.
