Password-protected documents are now used by all safety-conscious users as a part of daily life. It ensures that any third party does not gain access to their data. The degree of security naturally depends on the kind and length of password. But if you you’ve forgotten the password and are locked of important protected files, there is something you can do besides wringing your hands in despair. There are tools you can use to get back in.
WINDOWS XP
The standard Windows XP edition stores all login passwords in the file SAM (Security Account Manager). You can find the file by following path ‘C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG’. You cannot, however open the file so easily because Windows guards it by preventing copying of the data. For a good password cracker however, this is no problem at all.
