My professional music career started at the age of fifteen. I began performing live in talent contests, and in wedding receptions. After showcasing my talent in the Omaha, Nebraska area, I was invited to do studio work as a vocalist in the radio and media advertising industry. Tom Ware of Warehouse Productions along with Johnny Ray Gomez Jr. and music agent Johnny ray Gomez Sr. (both nationally known for their talents in entertainment) of whom I've done national radio and television ads for can and will readily recommend me to any act, national or international. I also played professionally throughout this time in cover as well as original acts throughout the midwestern region of the United States. I opened for several national acts in large venues, and also sang the National Anthem at many sporting events including the College World Series, and Golden Glove boxing events held by national chain casinos. I realized soon that my musical passion could not be satisfied within the midwestern region, so I left my home, in Omaha to pursue my dreams.

While working with Jadestone, I responded to an offer on a West Palm Beach radio station, WPBZ 103.1 "the BUZZ". Mark Summers, the station's award winning Morning Show creator and host was advertising throughout the south Florida listening area, an offer for individual musicians to try out for a new band in which the radio station was forming. I attended the tryout session, and competed with well over 100 singers within the Miami/Orlando listening area. I landed the job on-the-spot. Immediately I began playing with the Mark Summers All-Star Cover Band (MASK). Mask's primary responsibility was to promote WPBZ's morning show and to fill spots in shows as an opener for national acts and industrial recording artists, as well as perform in benefit shows organized by the radio station. Some of the more popular bands Mask played with were Foo Fighters, the Cult, Everclear, Alien Ant Farm, Disturbed, Lit, Staind, and Poison. We also played numerous concerts and fund raisers including AIDS and cancer research, shelters for abused and neglected children and battered women, animal adoption, along with money raised for 911 World Trade Center victims and NYC firefighters and their families. Venues played include West Palm Beach Amphitheatre, Pompano Beach Amphitheatre, National Car Rental Center (Fort Lauderdale's main arena), Sunfest, and Moroso Motorsports Complex (home of Moroso's National motorsport events covered by ESPN Sports Network). We also played in local clubs throughout the Orlando/Miami scene, always packing the clubs to full potential. I decided that I wanted to play music on a full-time basis, which Mask could not fulfill. |
