| Michel Jourdain Jr. is a second generation CART driver. His dad is obviously Michel Jourdain Sr. Michel made his CART debut in 1996 at the age of 19, making him the youngest driver to ever start a CART race. He started in at Long Beach and finished 23rd. . From 1997 he drove with the Herdez sponsorship. Going from Dale Coyne Racing to Bettenhousen Motorsports(later Herdez Competition) He was let go after last season were he had one podium finish, a third at Michigan. After searching for sponsorship and a new team, he landed the second Rahal car sponsored by Gigante and Office Depot .
