Daddio's Sidewinder is out of Double Dutch's Bella (never shown, blue, out of Double Dutch's Frankie [BOB leg] and Double Dutch's Skylar) and Harris' Xavier (5 legs [2 BIS], black, out of Tiffany's X9J and Harris' T92), was born May 5/04.
I hadn't planned on keeping Sidewinder because of his blaze. Also, he was a smaller buck, and didn't beat his GC dad. But a semi-newbie Mini Lop breeder friend of mine convinced me to let him age and show him a bit. Since MLs and Dutch have the same type in WA (except for the extreme width to depth to length ratio of the classical typed MLs), I took her advice to heart.
--Sidewinder got excellent comments his first show from a big time Dutch breeder from CA. He was shown in Youth and the judge said he had the best type in the class of junior black bucks. However, the judge said that what held him back was his markings (blaze goes into his mouth). Disappointing, but got a lot of great comments on his type. |
