  Welcome to Wing-Goddess-Zero's Dictionary. Here are a bunch of Japanese terms a person is likely to come across in FanFics. or other places. I hope you find all this useful ^_~

Ai: love.
Aishteru yo: "I love you" (the strongest love term used).
Baka: depending on how much force you say it with, "Silly/Dummy", "Stupid/Idiot"
or "You complete and utter fool, how long have you been blissfully free of the          burden of intelligence?"
Chikusho: an exclamation of frustration, equivalent to "Damn!"
Daijoubu: "Okay/All right."
Daijoubu ka: "Are you all right?" (the `ka' is kind of a spoken question mark).
Dame: bad/no good.
Dame da: "Stop/Cut it out" (a friendly way of saying you want something to cease, as if to a friend).
Demo: "Well...um...but..."
Dozo: "Please" (when offering something)
Gaijin: literally "outside people", foreigners.
Gaman: to endure.
Gomen: equivalent to an appology.
Hai: yes.
Iie: no.
Ikimashou: "Let's go/Let's do it!" (sometimes also spelt as Ikkusho).
Itai: hurt, pain; painful. A common explanation epuivalent to "Ouch!"
Kamikaze: "Divine wind"; the name adopted by suicide pilots.
Kawaii: cute, sweet, adorable.
Kibun wa ikaga desuka: "How do you feel?"
Kibun wa suguremasen: "I don't feel well."
Koko ga itain desu: "It hurts here."
Kokoro: heart. Common extensions of this meaning are "sincerity" and "spirit/ willpower."
Konbanwa: "Good evening."
Konnichiwa: "Good afternoon."
Ljime: bullying or teasing.
Masaka: "It can't be" or "No!" (general term of disbelief).
Nani: "What?"
Nanimo: "Never mind/Don't bother/It's okay."
Ohayo: "Good morning."
Okagesamade: "Fine."
Onegai: "I beg of you/Please" (truncated from `onegai shimasu')
O-sewa ni narimashita: "Thanks for taking acre of me" (when leaving).
San: suffix which shows respect to the person it is applied to.
Shinanaide: "Don't die!"
Shi'ne/Shine: "Die, you lousey rotten so and so!"
Shinigami: God of Death.
Shinju: double suicide by lovers.
Shinu: to die.
Soapland: Japanese euphemism for sex and associated actions.
Suki dai yo: "I like you VERY much" (more commonly used love term).
Tasukete: "Help me/Save me!"
Teki: enemy.
Tomodachi:
friend.
Yamero: can be translated as "Stop (it)!" or "Enough!" This is a stronger form of wanting something to halt than `dame', to be used when you're REALLY getting serious about it.
Yaoi: homosexual; boy/boy relationships.
Yukata: rather like a bath robe, worn for lounging or casual wear.
