Spirit Storm

Up above the Earth on the plane of the spirit two beings sat at a reflective pool. They watched over their beloved friends and family, both shaking their heads. For they both wished they could share in their adventures still though they knew that wish was far out of reach.
"I wish those three would stop blaming themselves." Kanaiya said to her spirit friend. "Will they ever stop Hotaru?"
"They might someday." Hotaru sighed. "Let's just say it takes Shi a long time to forgive herself for things like this."
Kanaiya sighed. "They cannot help what Fate had in mind."
"No, they cannot." Smiling softly Hotaru shook her head. "They will be the ones to destroy Lothor. Well part of what will destroy Lothor. It will be a team effort. Though most of the power will come from."
"The triad." Kanaiya finished Hotaru's sentence. Then looking at her friend in soul. "What do you mean it takes her a long time to forgive herself?"
"Shi has not forgiven herself for not being there for Sensei and I. Though my darling sister was not given much choice. Sensei sent her off on a mission the same day Lothor attacked the schools." Hotaru sighed. "Gave Shi her morpher and mine was slipped in my sister's pack though she knew it not till much later." Looking at Kanaiya. "Shi found us all. You thought broken bodies where hard to deal with. Lothor impaled us. It was a painful way to die."
Kanaiya blinked and gasped. "He impaled you all."
"There were only twenty of us in all. Teachers and students. The Storm Ninja School was never large." Hotaru smiled wryly. "Shi buried us all. Gave us full honors as Ninjas."
"Shi is holding all of that inside." Kanaiya said softly in awe. "I never realized Shi carried such grief with in herself. She'll explode if she don't let it go."
"I know that. You know that and now two others know of the grief my sibling holds." Hotaru smiled seeing the light of enlightenment hit Kanaiya.
"Hunter and Dustin." Kanaiya said smiling all of a sudden. Then frowned looking back into the pool. "I wish Ani would stop it too. I swear she is as bad as the triad."
Hotaru laughed lighting. "Prolly is." Shaking her head, Hotaru sighed. "They have to learn to share their grief." Pausing and sighing again. "I wish Shi would quit storming. Her anger is beginning to cover half the world."
"I noticed." Kanaiya sighed.
The two sat and watched some more. both smiling and laughing as they observed their living family and friends and the adventures and mis-adventures they had.
