BrettsBombers - 2004 FFFL Champion
DreamTeam De-throned
The FFFL has crowned a new champion. Newcomer Grant Offermann and his team BrettsBombers, took the league by storm and finished off the year with a victory over the redhot DreamTeam; ending the DreamTeam's run for a repeat in the FantasyBowl. Plagued by injuries early in the season, it looked like the Bombers were headed for the FFFL garbage heap. But a 7-1 finish in their last 8 games was enough to earn them a playoff spot, and the rest is history. Some will say that the Bombers were pre-destined for this championship (just check the FFFL Fact from the Week 2 results page), but destiny or not, they were a dominant team and deserved this championship.

Last words from the Commisioner....
I hope you all enjoyed the 2004 Edition of the FFFL. Although it was a frustrating year for the RoughBoys, I still had a good time. I'm already thinking about next year, and the changes that will be made. For one, I'm looking at a host site that would handle all of the scoring/transactions/lineups/etc. This would give us the use of a real time scoring system, so you wouldn't have to wait a couple of days to know the results of all the games. The site I'm looking at would also let us use our current rules and scoring system. The cost would be around $60, which would come out to an extra $6 for 10 teams and $5 for 12. Let me know what you think of this idea. I've also been tossing around the idea of a keeper league, which would allow you to retain a few of your players from year to year. Give me your thoughts and ideas on that too. I'm not going to think about it too much now, for I'm a little "Fantasied Out", but as it gets closer to next year, we'll have to get together and decide on something. Until then, have a nice life and I hope to have you all back in 2005.

I'll be having a little "end of the year" get together for all of the Fantasy people. I think I'll be having it for the first week of the NFL playoffs. I invited Reggie White, but he said it'd be a snorefest and declined.. I'll let you know when I work out the details.
