| Grandmother's Applesauce Cake |
| 2-1/2 C applesauce 4 C plain flour 2 C sugar 1 C Crisco 1 C walnuts or pecans 1 LB raisins 1 TSP cinnamon 3 TSP soda 1 TSP allspice 1 TSP ground cloves 1/2 TSP nutmeg |
| Mix all ingredients and put in pound cake pan; cook at 350* for 30 - 45 min. Turn down to 300* and cook another 25 min. Cool 25 min. Remove from pan and let cool completely. Frost with chocolate icing. |
