GAP  SUNDAY  SCHOOL  LESSON
April  7, 2002
Sunday  school was so awesome at church this past sunday. We really experienced the Fire of God and it carried over into the Church service. Let me share it with you.
1 Chronicles 15:1-2 David had constructed buildings for himself and now he made a place for God and pitched a tent. No one but the Levites may carry it.
1 Chronicles 15:3-15 David assembled all Israel to bring up the ark. Everyone had their place to work.
1 Chronicles 15:16-24 Dawvid told the leaders to appoint their brothers as singers to sing joyful songs, accompanied by musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals. Their was gatekeepers, and trumpeters.
1 Chronicles 15: 25-29 They went with rejoicing and singing! They dressed in fine linen and brought up the ark of the covenant with shouts, sounding of rams horns and trumpets, and of cymblys, and the playing of lyres and harps.
These people were having a party! This God of David was a happy and cheerful GOD!!
1 Chronicles 16: 1-36
They sat the ark of God in the tent David pitched. They presented offerings before God. Then David blessed the people and gave them some bread and cake. He ask them to  make petition, give thanks, and to praise the Lord. Then David committed gave a psalm to God: Give thank to the Lord, call on his name; make know among the nations what he has done. When praising the Lord do these things. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! We do this when we sing to God. Like the song "Our God is an Awesome God, He reigns from Heaven above, with wisdom power and love, Our God is an awesome God!"
Even the heavens rejoice, the earth will be gald; the sea resounds, and all that is in it; the trees of the forest will sing. v34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
We sing a song at our church, " his love endures forever, his love endures forever, sing praise, sing praise"
1 Chronicles 17 : 1-27
David was settled in his palace and was worried about God being in a tent. That night the word of God came to Nathan, saying: " David is not the one to build me a house to dwell in. When your days are over and you go to be with your fathers, I will raise up you offspring to succeed you, one of your own sons. He is the one who will build a house for me. What visions has God given us that will only come true in our seeds (our children, granchildren). Then David went in and sat before God. David talked with God telling him how great He is. Also, asking God to keep his promise to let his offspring build a house for God.
11 Chronicles 1:1-7   Solomon, David's son went to God's Tent of Meeting to offer burnt offerings on it. God appreared to Solomon and said " Ask for  whatever you want me to give you" Can you imagine God telling you to ask for what ever you wanted?
11 Chronicle 1: 8-17   Solomon ask for the promise He had made with his father David. Solomon wanted to build the house for God. God said " Since this is your heart's desire and you have not asked for wealth, riches or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people."
11 Chronicles 2,3,4  These chapters are the building of the HOUSE.
11 Chronicles 5: 1-14 Solomon brought all the things to go inside the house. Then they brought the ark and placed in the sanctuary. The priest withdrew from the HOLY PLACE. The musicians stood on the east side, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps and lyres, trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice! to give praise and thanks to the Lord. They raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang:  He is good; His love endures forever." Then  the temple of the Lord was filled with a cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for glory of the lord filled the temple of God.

11 Chronicles 6: 1-39 Then Solomon spoke, "Praise be to the Lord,...." Solomon also prayed a prayer of dedication.
11 Chronicles 6: 40-42  Then Solomon said may your eyes be open andyour ears attentive to  the prayers offered in this place. "Now arise, O Lord God, and come to your resting place...." Solomon was inviting God to come into the new house he had built for him.
11 Chronicles 7: 1-3 When Solomon finished praying FIRE came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. When you offer God a offering does he send fire down to consume your offering? The priests could not enter the temple of the Lord because the glory of the filled it. When all the Isralites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the Lord above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshipped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, "He is good; his love endures forever." Have you ever worshipped like this? Have you ever felt the fire of God come down on you? This was awesome, we felt this last Sunday morning in the church service. The first song the congregation sang was His love endures forever! Then it was Let the Fire fall! Then we ended church that day with Our God is and Awesome God! We really felt the presence of GOD!!!!!
