This website was created for three reasons in general. First, I wanted to construct something that, while I am away in Massachusetts on missions, my friends and family can check to see my situation and how I am doing and feeling as I am serving the Lord. Second, I have had a desire for some time to break into this Internet, forming at least a small part that can be wholy mine and that I can use to post my feelings, thoughts, and other personal artifacts and entries. Thirdly, and most importantly, I want every aspect of this site to point back to the Lord of all creation - to Jesus our Savior who loves us in light of who we are. I have a sincere hope that the writings, requests, and even the photos (no matter how silly some of them are) will reveal the beauty and wonder that ebbs and flows all around us, from the petty thoughts of the day, to hanging out with friends, to journeying through cities and states, to sharing the requests of those who desire prayerful help in their circumstances. These are wonders fashioned and made perfect by God, who loves them and us with a perfect love we will never fully understand.
So let us just settle into our ignorance of this and praise Him in spite of our misunderstanding. As Brennan Manning once wrote, "Dear Lord, grant me the grace of wonder. Surprise me, amaze me, awe me in every crevice of Your universe. Delight me to see how Your Christ plays in ten thousand places, lovely in limbs, and lovely in eyes not His, to the Father through the features of men's faces. Each day enrapture me with Your marvelous things without number. I do not ask to see the reason for it all; I ask only to share the wonder of it all."
