A beautiful classic, this film is an indelible drama about the Battle of Britain.  Starring the gorgeous Greer Garson, this film chronicles the conflict from the perspective of the citizens on the ground.  The British stiff upper lip is defined by the efforts of Mrs. Miniver (Garson) and her family to support the country and survive the war.
Miniver's son Vin joins the RAF and her husband (Walter Pidgeon) risks his life to save men at Dunkirk, while the rest of them strive to preserve their way of life.
     This one is a keeper.
