Why the people should or not read Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography?
 
 

In my opinion the people should read Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography because like me (a foreign), It is a great way to learn about the cultural skills and history of this country. I think that is a great way to improve our way of life too.

The Autobiography has an historical atmosphere that we find along the book. It is the same feeling of reading as an old document, a group of brillant ideas, and historical process. Like for example the prognostic of the American Indepence (275) or the political changes like in Philadelphia (292).

Mr.Franklin was an eternal thinker, a good example is that we learned change and allowed for the birth of the Industrial Revolution. His ideas brought himself to invent electrical appliances (292) or write about morality for example (292); of course he was a great business man too,  he showed us in the direction of his Printing Company.

Benjamin Franklin is very clear and clever with the uses of his reasoning and of course moral skills. He teachs us the way to improve our style of life, trying to be better persons at work, and be more healthy humans beings which leads to perfection (212)

But Mr. Franklin like a normal man, has enemys; his main problem is that he pressed the people so much. He demands work and sacrifice to be preformed perfectly (moral-healthy) (213). For this reason some of the reader of the book feels stress and doesn't  take so much care. Sometimes his mechanical style of writing makes people feel indifferent about him.

My point of view is that Benjamin Franklin is trying to be an adviser; we have to transfer his words to our lives to be better, but not word for word.

I think that Mr.Franklin is a peculiar and interesting character of the world history. He help to build this country and he spent his life trying to teach the people how to be better, at work, at home, and in their lives... great book Mr.Franklin!
