| Ability Wisdom is the most important ability for this class, as it increases their usage and defense with the force. Intelligence is also important, as it increases their number of skill points, allowing them to be more versatile in their abilities. |
| Hit Die Force Adept heroes gain 1d6 hit points per level. The character's Constitution modifier applies. A 1st-level Force Adept hero receives hit points equal to 6 + his or her Constitution modifier. |
| Force Points Force Adept heroes gain force points which they use on force skills. These heal at a rate of 1 per hour of complete rest (such as meditation or sleep), and they cannot perform any active skill checks during this time (they may still make listen and spot checks to notice dangers). A Force Adept adds their Will save to their number of force points. |
| Action Points Force Adepts gain a number of action points equal to 5 + one-half their character level, rounded down, at 1st level and every time they attain a new level in this class. |
| Class Skills The Force Adept hero's class skills, and the key ability modifier for each skill, are as follows: Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Hide (Dex), Jump (Str), Knowledge (arcane lore, current events, popular culture, streetwise, theology and philosophy) (Int), Listen (Wis), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), Spot (Wis), Survival (Wis), Swim (Str), and Treat Injury (Wis). Also, the starting occupation you select can provide you with additional class skills to choose from. Skill Points at 1st Level: (7 + Int modifier) x 4 Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 7 + Int modifier |
| Starting Feats In addition to the two feats all characters get at 1st level, a Force Adept hero begins play with the Simple Weapons Proficiency and Force Sensitive feats. |
| Class Features All of the following are class features of the Force Adept hero. |
| Talents At 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level, the Force Adept hero selects a talent from the following talent trees. Some trees have a set order that must be followed, while others provide a list to choose from. As long as the hero qualifies, you can select freely from any and all talent trees. No talent can be selected more than once unless expressly indicated. Beginning Talents: A 1st-level Force Adept hero can choose from skill emphasis, weapon damage, and force talisman. |
| Force Knowledge Talent Tree The Force Adepts has a talent for deeper understanding of the mysteries of the force. Skill Emphasis: The Force Adept hero chooses a single skill and receives a +3 bonus on all checks with that skill. This bonus does not allow the hero to make checks for a trained-only skill if the hero has no ranks in the skill. A Force Adept hero can take this talent multiple times; each time it applies to a different skill. Force Secret: The Force Adept hero gains a deeper understanding in a particular force skill. He receives a further +1 bonus to all force skills that he has taken Skill Emphasis on. Prerequisite: Skill Emphasis. Comprehend Languages: The Force Adept hero can understand any language spoken by a living creature. They cannot speak languages they have not learned, nor can they read and write in them. Prerequisites: Skill Emphasis and Force Secret. |
| Force Weapon Talent Tree The Force Adept has learned how to imbue their weapon with the force, increasing it's potency. Weapon Damage: The Force Adept hero can spend 3 force points as an attack action to increase the damage their weapon deals for one minute (10 rounds). This increases the damage of an unpowered melee weapon by +1d8. Improved Weapon Damage: The bonus from Weapon Damage increases to +2d8. Prerequisite: Weapon Damage. Weapon Fortification: The weapon a Force Adept hero imbues gains further resilience to damage. Any time the hero uses Weapon Damage, their weapon gains an additional hardness equal to their Force Adept level. Prerequisite: Weapon Damage. |
| Talisman Talent Tree The Force Adept hero can imbue an item to gain further resistance to the force. Force Talisman: By taking a day of meditation and spending an action point, the Force Adept can imbue a small item of personal significance with the force. This item then grants the Force Adept with a +2 bonus to saving throws made to resist force skills and feats. Improved Force Talisman: The Force Adept can spend another day of meditation and an additional action point to improve the effectiveness of their talisman. This increases the bonus provided by an additional +2, for a total bonus of +4 to resist force skills and feats. Prerequisite: Force Talisman. |
| Bonus Feats At 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th level, the Force Adept hero gains a bonus feat. This feat may be any force feat, or feat that grants a bonus to force skills, though the Force Adept must meet any prerequisites. |
