Once upon a time there was a little girl named Katie, but for some reason everybody called her Little Katie Riding Captain. Now Little Katie was raised by her parents in a very nice house near the big bad woods. One day her parents decided she was almost old enough to go out into the world, so they sent her to her grandmother Starfleet’s house for training.
But Little Katie’s grandmother was a mean old woman who didn’t always treat Katie very nicely. She told Little Katie that she had to be all alone when she was doing the tasks, or missions, her grandmother Starfleet gave her; she couldn’t have any friends or anything. It was a very lonely life for Little Katie.
One day Little Katie’s grandmother Starfleet gave her a new mission. There was a big, bad wolf in the woods, called Chakotay; Little Katie had to go find the big bad wolf, capture it, and bring it home to her grandmother Starfleet.
So Little Katie set out, like a good little girl, to do as her grandmother Starfleet had asked her. She wandered through the woods, looking for the big bad wolf Chakotay; she finally found him, but then she realized that she was lost.
Little Katie was running out of food, though, and she realized that she wouldn’t be able to find her way back to her grandmother Starfleet’s house without his help. So she proposed to the wolf that they join together to find their way back, and he agreed, because having Little Katie with him would keep him from being attacked because of being a big bad wolf.
So Little Katie and Chakotay joined up to try and find their way back to grandmother Starfleet’s house. The problem was, while they were on the way, they fell in love with each other. Now, you may think it’s strange for a pretty little girl and a big bad wolf to fall in love with each other, but the big bad wolf wasn’t so big and bad, and Little Katie wasn’t really so little any more.
The big bad wolf Chakotay tried to tell Little Katie how he felt, but, even though she felt the same way, she tried not to listen to Chakotay because her grandmother Starfleet had told her she couldn’t fall in love with anyone while she was on a mission, and she still felt like she was on a mission. She still tried her very best to follow her grandmother Starfleet’s strict rules, even the ones that didn’t make much sense, even though she was lost in the woods and had already broken a really big rule by teaming up with the big bad wolf instead of capturing him.
The big bad wolf and Little Katie went on like this for a long time, he wishing she would love him and she wishing her grandmother Starfleet hadn’t made that silly rule. Even after they had been lost in the woods for years and years, she still followed her grandmother Starfleet’s rule.
But then one day, for some reason that nobody understood, Little Katie changed her mind and decided not to worry about her grandmother Starfleet’s silly rules anymore. She and the big bad wolf even decided not to go back to her grandmother Starfleet’s house, even though it meant that Little Katie would never see her friends and family again. So Little Katie Riding Captain and the big bad wolf Chakotay built their own house, deep in the forest, and there they lived happily ever after.
